A modern tale, a story of female entrepreneurship.

Born in post-war Italy, in the poor South, a young and courageous woman opens her first corner shop in a village of not even 1000 souls.

Giovanna, or as everyone called her Nina, with love and great passion manages her business which in a short time becomes the only point of reference in the village and where she proudly also raises 4 children and 9 grandchildren.

La Nina Caffe' & Mercato, was born with the same purpose: to bring quality and, above all, that approach to customer service which made every visit to La Nina special.

The founder of the project is the eldest niece, Monica, who learned to sell, communicate, create relationships, in that magical place of Nina's shop, and she now is eager to recreate that atmosphere with her cooking classes, wine tastings and special events, in a pop-up, in the Isle of Dogs, Canary Wharf.
