Framing to Final art piece

Framing to Final Art Piece

Round off your journey by framing your handcrafted piece – a keepsake to cherish from your very first encounter with Jogakbo. This session focuses on refined, strategic layout, helping you appreciate the true value of every stitch. Once you've captured the essence of Jogakbo here, you can progress to more complex designs and custom layouts for everyday use, with fresh curriculum levels introduced every 5 sessions to keep your creativity growing.

Discover the meditative art of Jogakbo in this immersive, hands-on textile workshop in North London, where you'll transform individual pieces of Korean ramie fabric into something truly stunning.
Jogakbo is a traditional Korean patchwork practice with a beautifully rhythmic quality to it. Working with the whip stitch, you'll piece together carefully chosen fabric scraps into a structured, sophisticated composition that's as calming to make as it is striking to look at. It's the kind of making that quietens the mind and keeps the hands happily busy.
You'll begin by curating your own colour palette from a library of premium ramie fabrics – choose from cool blues and greens, vibrant pinks, or mixed tones – before working through precision stitching techniques designed to give your piece a clean, professional finish. The curriculum moves thoughtfully from Basic Foundations through to Advanced Techniques, with five unique design platforms to explore across the levels, so there's always somewhere new to go once you've found your rhythm.
No textile experience is needed. The structured approach and expert guidance mean complete beginners feel just as at ease as more seasoned makers, and you'll leave with a genuine sense of accomplishment – and the start of your very own Jogakbo gallery.
Everything is provided, including:
  • All professional-grade materials and specialist sewing tools
  • Full access to a library of premium Korean ramie fabrics
  • A bespoke frame to house and display your finished piece
A wonderful introduction to a rich cultural tradition – and, for many, the beginning of a lifelong creative habit.
