Discover the mindful Japanese art of Kintsugi and transform a broken ceramic piece into a beautiful work of art.
Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese technique where cracked ceramics are repaired using lacquer and gold powder. Rather than hiding damage, the cracks are highlighted, celebrating imperfection through the philosophy of Wabi Sabi.
In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the Quick (modern) Kintsugi method using modern accessible materials (Epoxy glue, metal powder, Epoxy putty).
Our instructor Jurga starts the workshop with a brief introduction to the history and types of Kintsugi covering the differences between the western and estern understanding of beauty and philosophy of Wabi Sabi.
Jurga will then guide you step-by-step, with attention to each attendee. At the end of the session, you will take the repaired piece home.

All materials are provided.
* A small broken dish for repair
