Get hands-on with the pottery wheel in this interactive 90-minute pottery workshop in Eastnor, where you'll learn the art of throwing and create your own unique pot to take home at the end of the session.
You'll discover how to use a potter's wheel to craft your very own clay pot, with everyone getting two turns at the wheel so you really get a feel for the process. Participants share a wheel, making it perfect whether you're coming as a couple, with friends, or as a small group. Coming solo? That's fine too! Many meaningful connections have started here – there's something about working alongside others at the wheel that naturally sparks conversation and genuine connection.
The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, with plenty of laughter, creativity, and maybe a bit of mess along the way.
You'll leave with a handmade pot you've created with your own hands and the joy of a hands-on creative experience that feels both challenging and deeply satisfying. It's a one-of-a-kind keepsake from an afternoon of discovery, connection, and genuine fun with the wheel.

We have over 30 years of experience working with adults, young people, and children, sharing our passion for pottery with tens of thousands. Through skillful facilitation and a lot of laughter, we aim to enhance the lives of those we have the privilege to work with.
We established Eastnor Pottery in 1994. Originally, we needed workshop space and were offered a charming, redundant cottage on the Eastnor Castle Estate. As our reputation and practice grew, we expanded next door, purchased more equipment, and began to share our magical space with others.
We’re all about making memories. If we can create a space where people feel valued and inspired, whether it’s at the Pottery or out in the wider community, we consider it a job well done. We love what we do and trust you will too.
You will learn how to make pottery under expert guidance. This might be a hands-on Potters Wheel Introduction, having an inexhaustible amount of clay to play with on a Potters Wheel Day Course, or the most immersive and creative potter’s wheel experience, a Potters Wheel Weekend Course.
The Pottery is located in the idyllic village of Eastnor on the Herefordshire Eastnor Castle Estate, close to the Malvern Hills. Gorgeous scenery and rural tranquility make Eastnor Pottery the perfect destination for a creative break.
