Introduction to Screen Printing Workshop

Treat yourself to a creative evening out and discover the art of screen printing in this relaxed adults-only workshop.If you love getting creative but rarely find the time to make something just for yourself, this monthly craft club is the perfect opportunity to switch off, learn a new skill, and enjoy creating alongside others. Come with a friend or meet like-minded people as you print and create in a welcoming community setting.During the session, you'll be introduced to the basic process of screen printing. I'll guide you through each step of creating your own hand-printed designs using paper stencils, inks, and the screens.Screen printing is a fun and versatile technique that allows you to produce multiple bold, vibrant prints, with each piece having its own unique character.You will draw and make your own stencil, choose from a choice of two ink colours to print from, then print your design using shared screens, including a chance to help others and see their prints appear too!No previous experience is needed, making this workshop suitable for complete beginners.The workshop takes place at The Crown Tavern, Lee. Feel free to purchase drinks or snacks from the bar to enjoy while you create. You’ll print 2-3 test prints onto cotton or paper to practise the technique before doing your final print onto a tote bag included as part of the workshop.At the end of the evening, you'll take home all of your printed creations.
