The indigo dye workshop is an experience that allows participants to learn about the ancient art of dyeing fabrics with natural indigo dye. Participants can explore the fascinating process of creating beautiful blue hues using indigo dye.
During this two-hour long workshop, you will be guided on natural dye techniques step by step in a beginner-friendly way, as you create a beautiful scarf and a dyed piece of fabric. The tutor will also teach you how to make beautiful and unique tie dye patterns on your scarf! The workshop is friendly for beginners.

What to bring
In this workshop, you are encouraged to bring 2-3 pieces of fabrics such as t-shirts, cotton, placemats, etc. to finish your own project. Please note that the fabrics you bring need to be natural fabrics because natural dyes derived from plants work best on natural fabrics. There are options to buy dyeing materials (white bamboo scarf £8, white cotton tote bag £4, etc.) if you need more.
