Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.

Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

Brilliant one to one crochet session at Hobbycraft, Blackpole, Worcester-I needed help with making a granny square as I was struggling-my teacher was lovely and her help was just what I needed to get me back on the right track-excellent value for money.

Jade and Ebony were both great. They were patient and took time to explain things clearly. They were happy to go over things again to ensure the whole group had a good understanding. We were given wool and a crochet hook and shown how to make a chain & double crochet along with a hard copy print out to work with. Used the workshop discount to book this, so good value for money. I will look forward to putting these new skills to use!

I had been looking forward to this class for such a long time and it did not disappoint. I had an amazing time, I loved it, learning a new skill with alongside friends, everything was brilliant, can't fault the class in any way except that I wish it had gone on all afternoon! The lady who ran the session was really helpful and patient, giving lots of useful ideas, offering lots of materials and providing more when necessary, and was lovely with the children. My son was really pleased with his Easter bonnet. We picked up ideas for future projects and new materials which the lady was able to point us towards in store.

Great beginners crochet class - the venue was great at Hobbycraft, Blackpole, Worcester - teachers were very knowledgeable and made it a great experience - I had to concentrate as I had never done it before, but at the same time it was very therapeutic - I’m looking forward to doing more.

I feel that I learnt alot in the crochet class. We were Given the wool and a hook and instructions on a sheet which we could take home at the end. The teacher Jade (I think) and her colleague who’s name I can’t Remember - sorry - demonstrated the techniques and talked us through. And we worked at our own pace and could stop and ask questions as and when. Very relaxed and friendly. Would recommend

Sara was excellent. She was friendly and very patient with me. Her instructions were very clear, but she knew if I needed a bit more help and nothing was too much trouble. She gave some wool and a crochet hook to practice with and I had my work given to use The session did over run, which was no problem because I was having problems with one of the
stitches. She was also very encouraging. I really enjoyed the session and would certainly recommend the session to anyone new to crochet and even to those who want to learn more

Well organised.Everything we needed was provided. Teachers were great and gave one-to-one personal tuition and feedback as it was required, with much patience.
Lots crammed in to a one and a half hour session which made it very intense, though still enjoyable. Learn basics of crochet.

Jade gave my 10 yr old daughter a very informative lesson in crochet and was very friendly and patient with her. She has gone on to complete her first.
Constructive feedback as this was Jade’s first tutorial would be to slow down a little at the start and recap the key stitches at the end. We asked for this and she was very accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we left sure of what we were doing ⭐️

More experieced teacher and a machine that works better would be fair. Nice lad but not what I had in mind. Not a great advert for a Hobbiecraft machine. I will not be purchasing one.
I completed about 100 stitches in all.

Loved this Christmas wreath class. Me and my friend attended and it was fun. There were 3 of us in total and Jackson, who was our tutor. He was just lovely, calm and patient. He gave us tips on how to keep our wreath looking great. The materials we used were good, I think it was great value for what we paid.

The lady who took the class was lovely and friendly. The worksheet and Winsor and Newton pad were both great, but the pens used meant it wasn’t possible to get the letters to look like the worksheet - were the worksheets perhaps made with the longer tip Winsor and Newton brush markers, or even with a paintbrush? I think I would prefer to pay another couple of £ to use the W&N brush markers, but that’s a small detail - overall great, nice structure to build up skills and definitely recommended!

Sara was lovely. She was very friendly. We used the sewing machine I have, which I thought was very helpful. I didn't know anything about sewing machines. Sara was very clear with her instructions with how to set the machine up. We practised using different stitches, which was really good. I wanted some instruction on how to shorten trouseres/Jeans, so Sara showed me that. I really enjoyed the session and will definitely do some more workshops. Sara was excellent and very patient teacher.

The Worcester venue was easy to find with plenty of parking. I especially enjoyed the fact that during the course you are very easily able to create something different and individual. I absolutely loved the one-on-one sewing workshop with Penny. She was incredibly patient, friendly, and generous with her time. I have to admit that I am quite clumsy when it comes to sewing, and I had very little knowledge about working with a sewing machine. However, in just one short hour, Penny managed to teach me how to use the sewing machine, and it's truly remarkable. I can hardly believe it!

I also want to express my deep gratitude to my colleague Anne for introducing me to the workshops available at Hobby Craft. Thanks to her, I had the opportunity to learn something new. It's wonderful to have such supportive and helpful colleagues like Penny and Anne. Their guidance and encouragement have been invaluable, and I couldn't be more thankful.

It would have been better if I could have used the correct materials, but was offered what was opened, soi not given the option to take my project home. I think it's made me realise the cricut joy is a better starter option as I only want to print labels for storage jars at this stage & really dont have the space for a larger machine. What is the best joy bundle to make storage jar labels& how much is it?

Ebony was an excellent teacher and had a lovely manner with the children in the group. There was a wide choice of colours and my daughter made 3 creatures. She was able to choose what she wanted to make each time and the colours she wanted to use. I thought it was very good value for money. I really like Louise’s relaxed and knowledgeable approach. She was very easy to work with and very obliging. I was dismayed initially by the very dirty table which she offered to clean and then covered with a cloth. I thoroughly enjoyed and achieved my aims. Thank you Louise!

Starting with the good points: the kit itself was lovely containing all the bits you need to make a pretty wreath.
However, the member of staff running the workshop was not good. She was reading off the instructions and seemed confused by them at times. When we would ask her questions to clarify something she would just say she didn’t know. It was clear she had never done the workshop before or even read through the instructions ahead of time. In previous workshops, the staff member has been going around each individual helping and supporting but this one only seemed interested in making her own wreath. 3 out of 4 of us doing the workshop said we’d never used a glue gun before, yet she still gave no directions on using it. It wasn’t until one stopped working and we asked why that she said we should have been refilling them at a certain point. We ended up just helping each other muddle through.
Overall we could have got the same result from having the kit and instructions and just doing it ourselves. Possibly better as the instructions looked more detailed than the information she was giving us.

This was my first and I found it really enjoyable. Only 4 in the group, due to be 5. Stacey the tutor was very good. I didn't quite finish the wreath during the workshop but able to complete when at home and very pleased with how it turned out, flowers look realistic. The workshop was good value for money, particularly as included a mini glue gun and spare glue sticks which I can use for another project. Would definitely do another workshop again. Thanks

I enjoyed my one to one session with Louise. She showed me how to use the new sewing machine which I bought, using different needles for different weight fabrics. She demonstrated threading, changing stitch size, tension and feet. Excellent value for money, thoroughly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed the class it was something quite different. The teacher Penny was very knowledgeable and friendly. All the paints were included I will enjoy having another go on the second board. The one thing that was a bit of a problem was how did I get the finished item home as I had travelled by bus and the finished item paint was still quite runny so I had to take a taxi.

This was a great experience as I have always wanted to learn to crochet.
Our instructor Louise was brilliant and very patient with me, as an avid knitter I found it a bit strange to start with, but with her help I managed it.
Everything that was provided was excellent to start doing my first crochet.
I will look forward to hear about any more classes after I have managed to do some squares without mishap.

The teacher was very patient with my daughter. She gave clear demonstrations, lots of time to practice and answered all our questions. She even supported us the following day when we struggled with something whilst something at home.

I took my 2 grandsons aged 7 and 5 to the disco ball workshop. They had a wonderful time and went home proudly with their glitter balls to show their parents.
The teacher, Jo, was brilliant. She explained exactly what to do at each stage and was really helpful and patient when anyone needed any help.
The workshop was reasonably priced and worth every penny as all materials were supplied.
The venue (Worcester) was great and we enjoyed looking around Hobbycraft afterwards to get more craft supplies.

All the children had great fun. Lots of coloured buttons available so they could choose their own colour scheme. Teacher explained and demonstrated how to make the key rings really well and was ready to help out when needed. Would highly recommend.

I enjoyed making the Eucalyptus wreath; I had a 1:1 workshop! The blueberry decorations were a different idea to the usual Christmas colours. Instructions were given clearly. My wreath needs a bit of tweaking but I was pleased with my effort.

Not enough time allocated. Not all items needed inside box ie pen/scissors/ruler. The light in the dome is not strong enough, cannot see light when completed. Even when dome is empty the light is useless! Expensive course with a useless dome. Would be better to just make larger pot of flowers, much more useful! At least I can now make poinsettias and use a glue gun!

The pack was good however there were not enough packs for the people booked on and we were all crammed around a small table. Also we only had time to do a couple of coats of paint and didn’t learn how to do the more complicated designs as stated on the overview. It was a good atmosphere and would have been very good if all packs were there and was better organised. I’m very happy with the calendar itself and the materials and designs in the box.

Had the same teacher, she’s very nice
A few little bumps regarding the material we was using! Given the wrong material to print ( thought it was iron on but it wasn’t ) then the iron on we did have went in the machine up side down

So printed the wrong side
learnt just as much as I did for my first course I did on Monday!
Wouldn’t say this course was worth £15
Didn’t get a fat lot out of it! I know the materials I need, learnt from the first lesson I had!
Again I can’t fault the teacher she was lovely

I think next time I go In to buy materials I might just ask what ever questions I have instead of paying.

Lovely lady Jo made it very enjoyable. She gave us our mache animals, explained what to do to decorate them and provided lots of materials.
Jo took a real interest in us all, chatted to us and encouraged our decorating skills. We left with materials to do some more at home and will certainly be trying more workshops in the future.

I booked a beginner's crochet class for my 14 year old daughter in Hobbycraft in Worcester. It was brilliant - she had one to one tuition and it really gave her confidence to have a go herself. The teacher was really excellent and explained the different stitches clearly and even provided notes to take away. I would recommend these classes.

Get to know your machine lesson was very good,my daughter did a lesson the week before and then at home she couldn't get her own machine to work, so we took it with us to the next lesson and the lady helped us to get it to work, explained everything and was very helpful ;) would use again and highly recommend

On arrival we were directed to a table at the back of the store which was not prepared for the classthen poor Penny (instructor) was given paper work for the wrong day which was a completely different activity to the one I booked. Anyway, she rallied round and got the resources that she needed this took over 20 mins. After eventually starting the activity was good and the girls loved it. Hampered by not having the right equipment throughout the class however. I asked the girls if they enjoyed it which they said they did and wanedto do another one. One of them was shy and actually said that she loved penny who was kind and very good with communicated with the girls. If it had been planned and preordained this would have been much much better. A one hour class lasted 1.5 hours and we had to finishe the activity at home because of running out of tide. Great activitypoor organizationnot penny's fault . I will book again but need to do better . Thank you

Louise was fantastic. Didn’t rush me, gave clear instructions and made me feel at ease. Materials provided were adequate for the things I had asked to cover. As a complete novice I asked to learn how to achieve button holes, zips and darts and now have the confidence I can achieve these things. Louise offered further assistance in store should I have further questions and informed me of other workshops that were running if I was interested. She will now become my sewing guru. I can’t recommend the whole experience enough.

I have done a very informative sewing machine workshop with Louise in the Worcester shop. My granddaughters thought she was great. They were not looking forward to their half term entertainment but came out buzzing with enthusiasm for more instruction and ideas for sewing projects. Last night I had a wonderfully patient Sara who gave me the right level of tuition for me. I was absolutely thrilled I've at last been clearly and patiently taught 3 stitches. The parcel was such a nice touch nd made all the difference as well as a really good ice breaker.
Both really good instructors and sincerely nice personalities. Well done Hobbycraft.

Very enjoyable class taken by instructor George learning Design Space software. Only bought my Explorer machine a few weeks ago so George was able to answer all my questions. Feel I have a bit more confidence now to make more projects. A slow start due to technical problems with the Cricut software which was not the instructors fault.

I came to this class with no experience whatsoever. Abbie was fantastic and very detailed in her explanation. I visited the Worcester store which is very well stocked with all things cricut.
Today we started and completed a sample project.
I had all my questions (of which there were many) answered. Abbie was very knowledgeable in all aspects which was great. And to think I didn’t even know you offered workshops, until last week when I popped in and met Abbie, she recommended a hands on course, which I’m really pleased with.
