Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.

Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

The Kids’ Easter Clay Animals Workshop was a nice small and relaxed group. The teacher Indra was very good; she made great efforts to engage all the children (and parents) throughout the workshop. She assisted all the children with creations of their choice from start to finish and ensured that each child left with at least one or two completed animals. Overall a session well spent.

I recently took my two girls to an activity where we got to play with kids’ rainbow clay, and it was an absolute blast! Our instructor, Indra, was incredibly caring and lovely. She guided us through the process with patience and enthusiasm, making sure everyone felt included and supported. The rainbow clay itself was vibrant and easy to work with, allowing my daughters to get creative and express themselves freely. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that left us with beautiful memories and colorful creations. We can’t wait to do it again!

Amy was extremely knowledgeable. She answered sll my questions and gave very clear demonstrations She obligingly fetched som foam sheets to show how that would work, as I use s lot of EVA foan. She had never tried it before, so ee both learned that the Maker 3 cuts it beautifully!. I am now seriously planning to buy a Maker 3 - probably in the next week! Thank you Amy.

Thank you lovely people at Hobbycraft for your workshop. As always I delight in your love of art and how you share your enjoyment of it with my children. This rating is not about you.

I feel compelled to give this the lowest rating possible as the play doh *appears* to be a toxic plastic that cannot be reused. I really hope I can be corrected on this but I see nothing online that helps. It smells toxic and I dread to think what will happen if it is dumped in the sea.

I informed them of my discovery during the session. I feel really disheartened. Could you confirm the ingredients please Hobbycraft?

I think that Hobbycraft has made a few changes to its sustainability area but it is currently way too little too late for the environmental crisis that we face.

Art is supposed to connect us to ourselves and the world around us. How can we do that at the same as significantly polluting the only planet we have!

Pull your socks up Hobbycraft! You can do it. We all can. Surely, we have to for our children?

A great class- different coloured air clay provided to make 3 figures (although blue was missing). The space was great, away from main shop. I would have liked more step by step instructions (1st do this, then do this etc.) from the teacher or even just hand outs to follow. It was great value.

Teacher was totally fab and friendly and very relaxed. Thank you so much. Lovely ideas too. She was So open and welcoming to the children taking their ideas and building the crafting from them. So confidence building for my children. They had a really lovely and empowering time. I can’t recommend this enough to families who feel awkward doing crafts! I feel awkward doing crafts but I eventually took a back seat and relaxed myself and got some tips too.
A fair bit of plastic in the materials for this one but the teacher was happy to flex it for a more sustainable approach - amazing! So my craft had zero plastic in the end. We came away with plastic in the others. the baubles were papier-mâché. Brilliant! We will be signing up for any and all of the classes that are geared in the direction of sustainability this year. I cannot thank you enough Lynette for the first brilliant experience at Hobbycraft. Thank you thank you thank you.

Really fun experience! It was informative, the teacher had a great wealth of knowledge and shared 4 different techniques which we could use on our ceramic tiles. We were provided with materials to take home making it not only thoroughly enjoyable by great value for money too. The teacher was very patient and we ended up spending much longer than an hour which I suppose wouldn’t always be possible if there was another group.

This was a great beginners guide to paint pouring. Lynette was a great teacher and a very friendly person. She explained the process every step of the way. The materials we were given were amazing, it had everything we needed to learn and more. We learnt the art of pouring on clay coasters. Extremely good value for the money we paid for the workshop. I would definitely recommend this class. I came away confident enough to do few things as Christmas gifts. Special thanks to Lynette for excellent skills in teaching beginners.

We had a great arts session with Lynnette, she was very knowledgeable and showed the children how to make each model easily and allowed them to take their time.
We used fluffy modelling clay which i have never used before. It was very nice easy to mold and can be painted, coloured with felt tips and glue things on to it.
We spent about an hour making ghosts, bats and Lynette let the children choose their next model (my son decided to create a shark and my daughter made a cat) so it was very flexible with creativity.
My children asked to come back again so it goes to show how lovely of an activity it was and for the price it was definitely worth it. 100% recommend and will be back soon for more exciting crafts!

Brilliant workshop. Kuljit gave me a very good step by step guide to using a sewing machine and we even had time to attempt some more complicated (in my opinion) stitches. She also advised on the best tools to get started with. . Really grateful for her time and expertise.
The set up at hobbycraft is perfect, with plenty of space to practice and lots of machines to practice on if needed.
Thoroughly recommend this workshop for beginners or those that need a refresher!

Thought it was more of teaching to paint.But I kindof understood that it’s just a space for the kids to just draw or pain what they feel.

I started as a complete beginner who has never even touched a sewing machine but after finishing my 1 hour session with June, I felt like a pro. June knows exactly the very first things that I need to learn as a complete beginner and showed them to me step by step, how and where to start, and patiently introduced the different accessories and parts of the machine, and their purpose. She answered all my questions. She's very friendly too. All in all, it was a really great session and worth the money.

Despite the details being a bit tricky to mould together and the pieces not sticking, Indra was professional and supportive throughout - helping the children create their desired models.

Took 2 children, 3 Yr old and 7yr old. Both really enjoyed it. 3yr old required help (SEN needs, so hard to say if other 3 year olds would struggle).

The teacher was great, chatty throughout, stepped in and offered help when I was with the other child. The task was done at our pace and materials given when ready so the children could follow the steps without being overwhelmed. Plenty of materials available too making it value for money.
It was our first HC workshop and we'll definitely book another.

My daughter came to do the Easter clay making. She had Indra as her teacher who was very welcoming and friendly. She gave the children her individual attention and praised them all on how well they were all doing. We ended up buying some of the materials to do more at home. It was a great first workshop experience and I’m sure we’ll be back for another.

I had a wonderful lesson learning to sew. My teacher was really good at explaining the machine and really took time and patience in teaching me every aspect. Prior to this, I had never used a sewing machine before but by the end of the lesson I really had a great understanding how to use it. I felt the set up of the lesson was very well put together and all the staff at Greenford were extremely attentive and super lovely. The lesson was great value for money and I left very happy (also with a sewing machine purchase and lovely items to create some lovely projects) A big thank you to my teacher for making the whole experience so lovely.

I had no idea about Cricut machines but seeing t-shirt, bag and other personalised items on display have decided to book the workshop.
Amy was friendly and explained everything in details. We made sticker and iron on fabric samples.
She was answering all questions, showing me different resources for different machines.

We enjoyed today's Kids' Mache Easter Treat Bucket workshop. Our teacher Indra (I am sorry if I don't remember correctly) was very nice. My son is very shy and didn't want to participate at first but Indra make him feel welcomed. My son wanted to have a bunny on his bucket there was non avalible on the craft table and again the teacher made an extra mile and looked around the shop for some bunny stickers. Thank You that was another nice experience in Hobbycraft Greenford.

Lynette was very friendly and clearly explained the different techniques that can be used for acrylic pouring and gave us good examples. We were able to try the techniques and produce 3 different paintings. I would definitely do more craft classes at Hobbycraft.

A brilliant session and extremely good value for money. The pack of resources (brush pens, pad of paper, gift tags, notebook and letter formation templates) were worth the money alone. My teacher, Lynette, was brilliant. A real expert at the craft and really good at sharing her experience. She was patient, kind and really good at communicating what was needed. I did wonder if being on the shop floor would be distracting but we were situated on the mezzanine level and there were no disruptions and I could stay focused. I had a great time and can't wait to keep practising and improve. Thank you Lynette for giving me such a good introduction to brush lettering!

Our host and teacher Lynette was fantastic. Warm, patient and knowledgeable. I attended with my 9-year-old daughter and my sister. It was a great activity for a mixture of ages…and wonderful that we couldn’t do very much ‘wrong’!
We learnt at least 4 techniques and can’t wait to collect our creations.
Very good value for money.
We couldn’t have achieved the results and learning without Lynette.

I really enjoyed the Cricut Mug Press Class at the Greenford store and the lady teaching was really informative, she took her time to make sure I understood everything and always asked if I had any questions or wanted her to repeat anything.
It was lovely and quiet so we weren't disturbed and it just made the whole learning process much nicer, especially as I was very nervous.
I would definitely recommend to others and it's really good value for money and you learn so much, I was so happy as I could take the mug we had created home. I can't wait for the next class.

I loved the whole experience! It was my first time! I liked that we had the workshop on the top floor (where it was warm and cosy) and we could see the whole shop at the bottom and be inspired. The most exciting moment was when we opened our boxes with all our supplies ready to be used. There was a lot of stuff in it! Then, when we started making the Christmas baubles, the teacher was very inspiring. She gave us lots of ideas as well as some more decorations to put in our baubles. She was super nice and helpful! In the end our baubles turned out to be quite charming, and we got to take all our remaining supplies and the box home, to make even more Christmas baubles! Overall, it was a very good value experience for the money paid, and I certainly would like to come again for another workshop.

My 6 year old son and his best friend had a great time at the Greenford store with a very nice lady named Kuljit. They made spiders for Halloween. After they lost interest in creating spiders, Kuljit showed them how to make caterpillars from table supplies. In the end, boys could choose what they wanted to take home from the leftovers to make more crafts. We looking forward to come again. It was only £5 - definitely worth it. THANK YOU Kuljit!

Lynette was fantastic, she explained very clearly how to use our brushes, mix the paint and apply the watercolour techniques she described. I didn't think at the beginning of the class that I could produce a picture like the example but I did and feel inspired to do more watercolour painting. I would highly recommend the course.

My teacher was Lynette and she was very good. I think she is great. She had full knowledge of the subject and went through the workshop very thoroughly and clearly. The Venue was good and very private. I enjoyed opening my box of materials and was amazed at how neatly it was all packed and how useful the materials in it. Good value for money. By the end of the class I had learned the basics of Air Brush and was confident in forming the letters on my own. The best bit I liked was writing with different pens and following Lynette on how superably she was writing them. Thank you Lynette for a lovely relaxing hour of fun.

Nice space and enough room to do the task. Nice that kids could choose their own figure to paint. Lovely teacher and offered kids an apron and hand washing facilities. It was quite a short activity. Toilets could have been cleaner. Great value for money.

I really enjoyed my sewing class at Hobbycraft. I’ve never used a sewing machine before and had no idea how to do it, so I took with my a small project and asked what kind of machine was best for me. I had the most amazing training and felt confident using the machine that I bought after the training.

The teacher was good but unfortunately after attending several courses both in store and online, we've never managed to complete a project, or cover the full course thoroughly.

As a beginner to crochet, I have forgotten most of what was covered in the online course and do not have any links to recap.

Absolutely loved our class…we had a session with a lovely lady called amy. She was great with the kids very patient and kind. I was abit nervous because my son is two and very messy! The instructor was really nice and patient with me, however I found that the number of stitches, as a beginner were too many to remember and although I did manage to sew the stems, and a leaf that's all I could manage, the time just flew!

The workshop was very good however 1 hour seemed not enough time to cover the lesson.

Am keen to do the cupcake workshop but would prefer this to be a face to face, not all classes should be online, there then would be no difference between watching a YouTube video.

Please introduce more face to face sessions.

I had a fab class with Amy @the Greenford branch. She was very kind and patient and went through a guide to how to make toppers, using card stock, glitter card, vinyls for hard surfaces. She provided few samples pcs for me to try when I got home. She answered whatever questions I had and explained it in a simple way. I think it’s great value for an hour session

It would have been good to have a picture of what the end result should look like in the box, together with some brief instructions to refer to later, and also a little sample piece to practise on first.

I must admit I went into this workshop expecting a load of sequins and some glue in the middle of a table and for the kids to go mad on some card for an hour. But when we got there, each child was given a box which contained 50 cards plus envelopes, a pack of 50 felt tips, 6 large pots of xmas coloured paint, a large tube of red and green Pom poms, stickers and other crafty bits, glue, paintbrushes, wooden xmas decs and a ceramic Santa tea light holder. Way more than expected. We had Vera taking our workshop, and were lucky enough to be the only ones booked on it. Vera patiently explained to them what to do and helped them do it, and also drew some extra examples of designs they could take home and try. Overall I was very impressed with both the materials provided and with the staff. I would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed the process of wreath making very much, however, I was anticipating that the teacher would give us a step-by-step procedure to make our wreaths. I was given a box of a variety of materials - pine cones, berries, leaves etc., a glue gun and some twine - but I had no idea how to put them all together to make it look nice. The teacher was somewhat helpful and arranged some of the items, but it seemed more like she was just there to supervise us. In the end I left with a wreath that I felt was underwhelming. My mother-in-law, however, enjoyed the class and created a beautiful wreath. Maybe there was a miscommunication, but with a workshop, I thought we would be taught how to make something. If I just wanted a box of items and to fend for myself, I would have just ordered the box to my house. I've now taken the wreath apart and just copied the picture on the box that the wreath and materials came in.

Materials etc were good but the table was not cleaned and initially my clay picked up the marks of glue and glitter, until the course leader found greaseproof paper (which later wrinkled from the damp). I say leader rather than tutor as she was unsure what was in our kits and was working from a crib sheet from head office. A bit disappointing.

Teacher was excellent. Informative & helpful. Venue was quiet & ideal. The pack was in general good. However, I felt it lacked more of the larger items, some greenery and some more cherries. I made an autumn wreath. I feel that for the price charged you should have been provided with more foliage etc.

The teacher/member of staff was nice and very calm mannered. And all staff generally friendly at Greenford store. The paints were good. The venue was ok but could be better and the table was slightly small/not a lot of room and with people walking close by (this is the opinion of my children who attended ; who are a bit shy)
Ok value for money - would be great if there was a discount or offer for more than one purchase of workshop.
All in all a good experience.

Amy was very welcoming and easy to work with. As a newbie to Cricut I probably asked some very basic questions but at no time did I feel I was asking anything silly. I had sent through things I wished to know about when I booked and it was evident that Amy had read my form and ensured she could help me. All my queries were answered. I also got two useful tips about peeling the mat from the card not the other way round and storing my pens tip down so they don't dry out.
I'll definitely be back for another session when I'm ready to tackle vinyl projects.
