Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

All the materials were ready and the lady guided us through the process, showing examples of previous wreaths. My daughter has just had a baby and was feeling a bit blue. Mary was great, and very patient. After many failed attempts of learning myself to crotchet, I booked this class, and am glad that I did. I feel that I have come away with the basics to practice and get better before moving onto more complex crotchet patterns. We were provided with a crotchet hook and x2 balls of wool, and instructions. Mary stepped in when required to help when we were struggling.

Becky was really welcoming and helpful, she started by asking us what we wanted to achieve from the session. This was great as we have had our sawgrass since Christmas and have used it so had some knowledge to build on. Becky answered all our questions clearly and offered post session support if needed whilst signposting us to other support mechanisms on social media. Becky also demonstrated the main features of Sawgrass Creative Studio by making a nice camping mug which we were able to take home. This was a really good session that has expanded our knowledge and confidence. Thank you Becky!

I really enjoyed attending the beginners crochet class today. Jess was a great teacher and soooo patient. The class included two balls of yarn, a crochet needle, written instructions and a bag to put them in. Jess explained everything really simply and was happy to repeat herself, of which she did many times! Even though there were 5 people in the class she had time to see us all individually and answer any questions. I would definitely recommend this to a complete beginner (I had absolutely no experience beforehand) or someone who hadn’t crocheted for a while. I felt like the class was excellent value and I have was able to remember what I’d learnt at home.

I attended a beginner’s crochet class at Hobbycraft, Bolton this afternoon and I really enjoyed it! It was my first workshop at Hobbycraft and I’ve never crocheted before so it took me a little bit to get going, but I think I’ve gotten the hang of some of the basics now which is great! Our teacher, Jess, was brilliant - she made things really clear and simple, she checked on us all regularly to make sure we were getting on okay, and she helped us rectify any little mistakes along the way. She was also friendly and funny, and made it really enjoyable. The other participants were lovely, too. I’ll definitely be back to do another class

My mum had bought it for me and my sister for a Christmas present. Neither of us are very arty but can admire peoples wreaths etc

The materials were great and we had plenty of things to use. plenty of glue and things to use on the wreaths

The lady who ran the class was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Was very complementary with her feedback on our wreaths.

I am already planning on looking for alternative classes that are available for a friends birthday present who loves arts and crafts etc. So, I will be back :)

Me and my 10 year old daughter did a beginners crochet class with Jess at the Bolton store today She had served us previously on the till and was so lovely so we were happy to see her arrive for the class. There were 2 other people who joined the class and Jess was amazing with each one of us…one of the other party was left handed which she adapted for without question and she also gave extra time to my daughter who initially struggled getting the hang of it. With Jess’ 1-to-1 help, she was soon on her way and really getting involved with working through the wool We both loved every second of the class and will definitely consider more classes in the near future! I purchased a crochet book which she recommended for beginners before i left the store and she gave me so much confidence to continue and improve at home Thank you SO MUCH Loved the little extras in the bag that we got to take home from the class to get us started

My granddaughter wanted to learn how to crochet and I needed a refresher as it has been 20 years or so since I crocheted.
The teacher was well prepared and we were each given a hook, 2 balls of wool and a sheet of instructions in a handy bag to take home after the lesson.
The teacher was very patient and handled my 9 year old granddaughter well as she was wanting to rush each step.
The venue was very warm as it was upstairs in the shop.
Clara crocheted all the way home from Bolton to Leigh, she was very enthusiastic and her first goal is to make a scarf in two colours.

Booked a 1-1 sewing session for my daughter as a Christmas present. Becki was amazing, patient and very knowledgeable. She put my daughter at ease and has given her the confidence to now use her machine at home. The venue was great, lots of space and quiet. Becki used good quality materials and guided my daughter to make her own pencil case which she was very pleased with. She taught her a variety of stitches and techniques such as button holes and zips. We booked this class with a money off voucher so it was even better for value, I would have been happy paying full price for the service we were provided with. My daughter has already set up her machine independently at home and made a bandana with the skills she has been taught. Thank you so much.

As a relative beginner I found this class really helpful. I had been struggling with a couple of things since I got my cricut maker and my teacher gave me some really helpful tips. The area where the lessons are held is clean and tidy and practice materials were provided.

6 week crochet granny square blanket course.
I loved the course Jess was fantastic! Very patient and understanding. I can't praise her enough, a real asset to the company.
As well as learning a new skill I also met some amazing ladies.
I thought it was good value for money
We could have done with an extra week, obviously there wasn't time each week to finish 6 squares so we expected to have to do some work at home, but there wasn't enough time on the last session to sew it together and do a border which would have been really helpful.

Only criticisms I would have are:
Some weeks the workshop area was uncomfortably warm.
Would have been nice to have been able to choose your own yarn colours.
Some of the squares were very similar it would have been nice to have some more varied squares, I'd have loved a flower square.

All items needed were provided - wools, crochet hook and full written instructions to take home in a bag. Covered best ways to use hook and hold wool, cast on, simple chain, double and treble crochet stitching and casting off. Good value and just myself and a friend in a private class. Most importantly was the excellent teaching by Jess - thankyou

Well To be honest I had owned my "Circuit maker 3", for over 3 years and had NOT used it - The truthful reason - because it was a computerised machine, it has defeated me! - I was born in 1960, therefore my senior education didn't include much computer education - in fact, nothing to do with computers
Almost everything I know about computers, I have learned from my husband Cliff, who in the early 80s, worked at "Greens", in Debenhams, (he, at the time was a computer geek, I met him in 1989, when I was 29 and and single parent.
Sorry for going off piste! This is what happens when you are in your 60s, and also have had a Brain Haemorrhage.
Well back to the main thing - "Hobbycraft", opened in Wigan recently and inspired me to book on a "Circuit" course (I thought this will encourage me, or else I will sell the machine - I needed some inspiration - big time)
One of the few (4 countrywide) was running in Bolton thankfully, not that far from where I live, and I enrolled. - I am so thankful that I did It has inspired me and encouraged me to use my Circuit machine to encourage others with their mental health problems.

I have really enjoyed the 6 week course and definitely learnt lots from the teacher Becky. She knew so much and guided me through each week and was always able to answer any questions I had and went at a pace that suited me I have produced some amazing things that i can use at home and can now use the skills I have learnt to practice at home. The venue was great. We had all the resources needed. The bag we got at the beginning was fab and had all the resources we needed and more No issues at all and have really enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone starting out with a Cricut machine.

Great introduction to crochet for an absolute beginner. The goodie bag with hook, yarn and instructions was perfect and a great reference when I got home. Jess was patient and effortlessly moved between us to show us basic stitches. The venue was great with seats around a table so we could all see what was going on and Jess was helpful in suggesting useful books and tools to purchase after the class. Looking forward to the granny square class when I get a bit better!

Great class! Jess was brilliant with the kids and very patient as they were all a bit hyper for my daughters 9th birthday! Second experience of these workshops would highly recommend and excellent t value for money.

Quite disappointed at this Xmas decoration session due to lack if art supplies esp as a whole shop full of supplies so no excuse really Plus we paid for class. So only white pipe cleaners provided when example decoration used 2 different colours. Not even like lots of kids (only 4). Bells and beads provided. A bauble with paints but would have be good to also provide felt tips/markers and gem stickers for the bauble as alternative. The staff member also wasn't very interactive with the actual activity

Enjoyed an hour drawing on the bags and some of the tags ( but not enough time to do them all). The leader was friendly and chatty. It was disappointing that we weren't given the pens to take home, especially as we hadn't finished our bags, so had to buy some as we left. In the past everything has been included.

What a wonderful hour we spent with Becky learning about the world of Cricut. She gave us an overview of the software and how to get started on that. That introduction also gave us an idea of the scope of the projects that can be done. After that, we had the opportunity to do a couple of basic projects which we could take home with us. She really knew her 'stuff' and was clearly an enthusiastic user of the product herself which helped. We arrived feeling excited to learn what we could do and we left excited to put into practice what we had learnt. Well done Becky, I'm sure I'll be seeing lots more of you in store when I'm browsing and purchasing items for my projects!

This class was brilliant value for money and the resources provided were brilliant.

A few things could have been improved upon though. There wasn't enough time for the amount of class content, particularly considering this was aimed at children. The parents ended up having to do a lot of it, and we ran out of time to complete the whole class.
There also needs to be more consideration put into who runs the class. The staff member who ran the workshop was lovely, but not great with children, and in fact mentioned not really liking children. They also weren't very knowledgeable about the craft we were doing and I feel either more training was needed prior to the workshop or someone with a different skill set. As I say, they were very nice and personable with the adults, and would probably be better suited to running adult workshops rather than the children's ones.

The lady running it, Jess, was really friendly and helpful. I was a bit disappointed as the images used on the pictures to advertise the workshop had googly eyes and when my little girl asked she said she didn’t have any up here. There was also some confusion over how long it was as she started to tell us we had 5 mins left only 25 mins in. When I said I thought it was an hour she said it was 30 mins. She did check then and did let us finish off our pumpkins. The kids did enjoy it but I was left feeling a bit disappointed with the lack of resources and confusion over timings. It would put me off booking a more expensive workshop in the future.

Jess was great. As a left hander I would have liked someone who was left handed too. Jess was able to assist me but isn’t left handed so she did her best. All 3 stitches were learnt and we had plenty of time to practise and correct errors. Looking forward to practising at home.

11 and 9 year old children enjoyed participating with the haunted house workshop today.

The workshop lasted an hour. Teacher was very good at explaining what to do and provided all the materials needed.

Unfortunately one child didn't finish in time but we were able to buy the same tissue paper used in the workshop to complete at home.

The hobbycraft workshops are great value for money.

All the materials I needed for my project were provided at the venue and included in the price of the course. Which I thought was good value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed making my Autumn Wreath. Dany was very informative and encouraged being creative to create an original piece of work. I would highly recommend and encourage friends to try one of the workshops. Just taken the class Beginners guide to crochet, I had never picked up a crochet hook in my life and you could tell, but by the end of it I could sort of crochet, some of the others in the class were learning it more easily , me not so fast but Danny really helped us all. I can sort of crochet which considering when someone tried to teach me to knit before they failed miserably I think the class was brilliant. It's a great way to learn the basics and I think after the advice and teachings of Danny I will be able to crochet properly in future (after lots of practice). Definitely value for money, the class went by so fast. Recieved a bag with a crochet hook and 2 chunky balls of wool to practice with.

Fantastic hour spent with Dany this afternoon learning about sewing machines, how to thread them up and then onto using them. Has given me the confidence to get going now and see where it takes me. If ever you just want some guidance I would seriously recommend the hour spent in the company of someone knowledgeable and who inspires you to crack on! I've even put in a zip and linedthe pouch made now has my tailors chalk and clips in. Now for a little time alone with my machine!

Pleasant tutor assigned to class, Watercolour pack received sufficient to use in the class but certainly 1 hr session just not enough time to get through a bee composition which I don’t think is a beginners theme. Felt the charge of £28 was far too much for what was provided. Think Hobbycraft needs to review a more timely approach to these workshops rather than cashing in on a ‘cramming in’ session particularly when some people have travelled over an hour to get to the store. I won’t be booking again.

The teacher was great. Really helpful in showing both right handed and left handed techniques. The only thing was that this slowed down the learning process. We learnt 3 basic stitches and were then finally shown how to put these together and how to follow basic patterns. We were given 2 balls of wool and a crochet hook which were chunky to make the learning process easier. I feel that the price was fair for the time that we had with the teacher. I feel confident in the 3 basic stitches and I am now ready to start practicing independently, thank you!

The teacher Dany was lovely. She was very patient with the 5 of us who attended. Although it was good, I felt I needed more and would happily have paid more for a longer session, to learn a few more basics. It was good value for money, as you got a hook with wool in a bag, so plenty to practice with. I would recommend to others as a beginners course and I would consider attending other courses too!

Great beginners introduction to crochet at Bolton this afternoon with Danny. My daughter and I were complete beginners and left with a finished sample piece having learnt the three basic stitches. Lovely quiet , calm area to work in and a good pace to follow along. Nice little kit to get started.

I had my workshop today learning about what can be done with the Cricut joy. The teacher Dany was fabulous, I was a little nervous at first but I was soon made to feel at ease. I couldn’t believe the amount of different things that can be done. I came home and manage to do a little card project with the things she taught me today.

Dany was my teacher she was lovely! Really friendly, patient, easy to engage with and bubbly which put my nerves at ease! Today was the first time I’d ever touched a sewing machine before, Dany talked me through how to set the machine up, different stitches, how to stitch a zip and attach a button. I didn’t know what to expect from my first one-to-one workshop but I’ve come away keen to learn more. Great value for money! Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I assume this is a workshop that will teach the children to learn the painting skills. I dont expect is only an aera offered to paint there. I can paint it at my home as I have the colours at home.

The lady who ran the workshop was great (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name). She explained how the beads work, what you needed to do, and was friendly and helpful. She spoke to all the children at their level and offered encouragement. It was very relaxed which was great. My son hadn't used hama beads before so it was a great introduction.
Reading other reviews, it seems most got to make their own designs and then had a pack to take home. In our session, we used the pack to make the design supplied and then could take the remaining beads home.
We will look at booking more workshops in the future as a way of trying out crafts.

The workshop was good fun. We have been to a few workshops at Hobbycraft so we know we are going to have a great time at each new workshop.

The teacher was knowledgeable and explained how to create the peg dolls to the children. I would say though that 30 minutes is not long enough for this workshop. We were there an hour and we only made 1 king and 1 guard each, I think it is advertised as 2 guards? so if they were making the additional peg also then more time would have been needed. Some of the felt tip pens that the children were using weren't great so that may have been the reason that it took much longer than is expected to create the dolls as they had to keep going over what they had already coloured in.

All in all it was good fun, teacher was great and my daughter and her friend had a fantastic time. We look forward to booking more workshops in the future!

Attended an Easter bonnet making course, for my 5yr old son oscar to take part in. The lady Danny was fantastic she was very friendly and welcoming when we entered the area we were working in, she was just what was needed for the group of children attending., she was helpful and brilliant with the children. Fantastic workshop. This one was an hour long which was plenty of time to make an Easter sign and card. Lots of stickers and gems were provided together with colouring pens. The teacher was very helpful and provided clear instructions. Would recommend.

Good workshop for the kids to make easter clay decorations. It did seem rushed though, I don't think 30 minutes is long enough for this workshop. I had a 1:1 cricut course with Beccy. The venue was relaxed and had lots of room to work. Beccy was very friendly and put me at ease straight away. She showed me lots of tips and helpful ideas to get the best out of my cricut machine. She was very thoughtful by asking questions along the way and I felt no question I asked was a silly question. As someone who had never picked up a crochet hook in her life the beginners guide to crochet was a fabulous experience. The tutor was so patient & friendly & very knowledgeable not to mention talented in her subject area. Wool & crochet hook were provided as was lots of advice. A thoroughly enjoyable 1.5hrs just wish there were follow on sessions to attend! Definitely recommend the class.

The only thing I would have liked is for it to be more hands on and been able to have a go at making one of the items Becky showed me and be able to keep it, either included in the price or a donation to the materials.

Great introduction to clay with my 7 year old. He enjoyed making a few bits and bobs. His teacher Ash was really nice and unlike lots of adults, she actually spoke to him a lot rather than me, asking him lots of questions about his life. He can be shy but by the end of the session he was chatting away which was lovely. He really enjoyed it and has asked if we can come to another class. He made a cup for his dad's birthday :)

Becky at the Bolton branch was fantastic during our Cricut workshop. My friend came along with me, and we both learnt so much in such a short space of time on a variety of techniques (I’m wanting to create things for my wedding later on in the year, and my friend is a primary school teacher wanting to create teaching materials). Becky was patient, reassuring and extremely knowledgable about the Cricut and how it can be used for various projects.

The Bolton branch workshop area as well as the general store was also a really welcoming, clean and tidy space perfect for teaching purposes.

I fully recommend this workshop to anyone new to Cricut who wants a confidence boost on how to get started on the machine. We can’t wait to get started putting our project ideas into practice! Thanks again Becky :)

Brilliant class. I went to remind myself of the basics as has been a while since I used my sewing machine. I took my 8 year old daughter who loved it. She got a sewing machine for Christmas and it was the best thing for her. The teacher was lovely and very attentive to our needs and questions. Would definitely recommend if you need to learn the basics. Will be looking at other classes to take now.

Teacher Carol at Bolton Hobby Craft was excellent. She was patient had great advice/tips and was encouraging. I was able to have one on one during workshop. The Materials needed were beautifully presented and it was like opening a present. For the Cacti workshop you definitely need the basics of knitting.

Wasn't overly impressed. No teaching apart from how to tackle a paint selection without primary colours such as white and black. No one demonstrated how to draw or paint the robin. Just words usually after the fact saying things like don't draw to hard or ensure you paint with lots of water( after she realised people had!)No picture to use as reference. We had to use our own phones which was a bind. Didn't seem professional. Hobbycraft lady spent most of her time painting her own robin The actual shop was warm and comfortable and the attendees friendly. I enjoyed the company of the others doing the class, but thought the workshop side wasn't really there.

I had a 1-1 workshop with Becky who knew her stuff. The materials provided, which were mine to keep were fav, especially the little alphabet stamps to personalise my creations :-)

The area was bright and spacious and I was able to clean up after the class.

I now need to see how they dry but some useful tips to make some more in the future.

A really good, value for money 1.5 hrs - the time just flew by. I highly recommend :-)

It was too challenging for the age range. We had two 4 year olds and a 6 year old who couldn’t do it alone. It took me (36 years old) at least 3 attempts and a couple of demos to understand how to do the tree. We improvised in the end and the smallest ones threaded beads on the pipe cleaners and made bead baubles. The time then went quickly and they had something to show for the class.

A great introduction to brush lettering, with lots of tips and individual attention from Dany. The box of baubles, pens etc made the course good value, and means I can create more in my own time. The only downside was the location, it was very cold and uninviting at the top of Hobbycraft.

Could not have had a better teacher than Becky. She was patient and helpful and full of encouragement. I wanted to make special baubles for my premature twin grandsons on there first Christmas. I achieved that wish with the help of Becky. Great value for money and came away with lots of goodies. So I can now continue at home. Thank you. Given some of my confidence back.

The teacher, Dany, was very pleasant and friendly. She worked alongside me, so I was able to pick up ideas from her. She provided some nice decorations to add to my wreath.
It was good to have the choice of a white wreath from your list of classes, a
nice change from green. I had a particular place in mind to hang it when I chose the wreath. I was pleased that the kit also provided a glue gun .
Dany gave me the motivation to make some changes and add more decorations to my wreath when I got home. I would book another class in the future.

You get a starter pack which is great with easy take home instructions. I learnt the basic techniques plus how to change colours. I was also shown how to read a pattern.

Unfortunately my booking had gone to Bolton so Preston weren't expecting me. I had some queries which were answered then I asked about the card mat, which they had not used yet. So we learnt together. We were interrupted by a customer so I think a large sign should be visible. Not sure if there was one, but I stand to be corrected as they didn't expect me. So not a problem. Julia and Claire were helpful and knowledgeable.

I didn’t find there was much too the workshop. I understand it’s helpful for someone to come with questions but I was looking more for additional tips and inspiration and it felt a bit all over with little suggestion. The lady Becky was so lovely and tried to be helpful. I found that I’d paid for a workshop that I’d have got more out of online watching videos. I sat and watched everything being done rather than being encouraged to learn by doing (I understand not using by the machine but I wasn’t even cutting vinyls or positioning them, I literally sat and watched someone else craft for 50 minutes). I also felt the session was being wrapped up quite early (about 10 minutes before time was up) on top of the fact the class started when the store opened at 11 so I had to wait for things to be set up whilst my workshop had already started. It was an ok workshop but I feel definitely not worth the money. I also didn’t come away with anything made so feels I paid for not much at all.

A lovely, relaxing session that my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. Plenty of clay to choose from, tempates for ideas although children are encouraged to 'free style' and make whatever they choose. The teacher, Carol, was patient and helpful. Would highly recommend these sessions.

For an hours activity to break the day up and for the kids to get creative, materials included. Also for a fiver you cant really complain.
My son enjoyed it, had a lovely chat with the tutor and other other kids that were there, just a nice social, creative activity.

We had a really patient teacher in the crochet class who was very approachable and encouraging
We learnt how to start with crochet doing a chain stitch - then we did the double and we were also taught the treble stitch. I was very impressed with our teacher as she stayed in to make sure we “mastered” that
We were given 2 balls of wool & a crochet hook & hard card instructions & diagrams of what we had learned.
Great value
Unfortunately my only criticism is the wool was too thick but other than that everything was fantastic
I’d love to do a further follow on crochet course though

Great first go. Diane showed me how to set up and thread the machine I have so I knew exactly what I was doing with it at home. Lots of hints and tips on different stitches and the best threads to use. I started to make a beach bag using fat quarters, which I am looking forward to finishing at home. I have several sessions booked and can't wait to see what I will make next.

Fantastic class today
Danny was so very patient and thorough with her teaching.

I attended this class with my 14 year old daughter. I was a little apprehensive as we're both beginners and I wasn't confident about my abilities. I've tried to use a sewing machine before but couldn't figure it out. However, Diane really put us both at ease and made it easy for us to understand. We learned so much in one hour and were really excited when we came out. I'm now setting my sewing machine up just as she taught us. I'll definitely be booking more lessons.

Did a One to One Cricut worksop with Danny and learnt so much.

Despite having my Cricut machine for a few years, I only had the basic knowledge of what to do but after an hour with Dany, I now have a much better understanding of the machine and its capabilities.

Day was incredibly helpful and explained everything in detail. Even though I probably asked some really basic and daft questions, she answered them all with clear explanation and examples on the machine.

I now feel much more confident to tackle more complex projects on my machine.

We’ve been to a number of workshops at Hobbycraft and absolutely loved them but this one just seemed a little lack lustre Nothing was organised when we got there, staff were asking each other who was running the session and the whole thing was very rushed. We were given a 5 minute warning 25 minutes into the session and the boys didn’t even have time to give their things 5 minutes to dry at the end of the session (while we looked round the store) so they smudged ☹️

That is the best £15 I’ve ever spent! Danny knew so much and I’m so impressed with how much she crammed into an hour. Definitely get a list together of things you need to know/try in advance. I’ve been a bit anxious about using a couple of the extra tools but now can’t wait to have a go :)

Very enjoyable lesson, Dany taught the basic skills of a Hobbycraft 19s sewing machine. Fabric was provided to make a seat cover, she also cut the padding to size.
Thorough and Happy to go that bit further.
Highly recommended!

Day is so knowledgeable and very patient. She explai s everything step-by-step and I learnt how to do a button hole, sew the button on fabric using the machine and we even managed to make a small zip pouch. I had my cricuit class today and I was very excited. Danny my tutor was fantastic. She told me all about cricuit design, images. Where to get free Svg’s from. She was very inspiring, approachable and just wanting to help. I made my first project which she is a part of(vinyl picture frame).
In terms of the whole class experience - I think the venue was a little cold, however there has been a big shift on the temp since New Year’s Day (warmest on the records). Overall I was very happy with the class. I gave it 4 stars. I think to improve it, you could maybe give some literature to the customer to take home so the the customer can refer back to.

The lady who gave the class was amazing and very helpful
She gave me lots of tips and helped with setting up and using the explorer 2 mint . The room was perfect and we had privacy for a one to one class and I could take it all in.
She then went on to help with what I needed from the store. I bought the explorer 2 with all the bits I need to start of with.

Jenny was amazing at the Bolton branch. It was a 121 session due to 5 people pulling out last minute. The box was filled with lots of extra treats. We made 3 different types of cards and she shown us another one to do at home.

This class was excellent! Our teacher (Carol) at Bolton Hobbycraft demonstrated some super ideas for different approaches to the card making and was very friendly and helpful.
We felt the class was very good value for money granddaughters were very excited to find a generous amount of different crafting materials in each of their boxes!

brilliant value for money plenty in the kit, it was a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of room, the teacher was very helpful and always smiling she did a brilliant job, the only downfall not for myself it was upstairs but maybe if you had difficulty getting up them they might do it downstairs, my venue was bolton so thank you very much for an enjoyable experience.

I really enjoyed the wreath making class at Bolton today! There was a small group of us above the shop floor in the craft area . As usual you get your box with lots of things inside to make your project. The teacher was lovely and was asking if we was ok ? did we need help with anything and also if we had questions. This is my third class I have done with hobbycraft and I have really enjoyed them all and I carnt wait to do some more! If you don't have enough time to finish your project you can stay behind and carry on.

I really enjoyed it. However, the stamps provided as part of the kit were 1. Too big 2. Not suitable for purpose. They were ink stamps the were barely noticable in the clay unless you pushed so hard you smoothed the clay all out of shape. Surely there are better materials in imprint writing the clay.

This morning I attended the christmas cloche making workshop and it was fab! Filly was my tutor and she was really nice to talk to. We have a lovely chat about different crafts and shared ideas with each other. The box that you receive for your make is brilliant . You get everything in the box to get you started even a glue gun. I started my cloche is class but I'm finishing it at home as I would like to paint them and let them dry. I'm attending another workshop in a few weeks time and really carnt wait I'm looking forward to it already. Thank you Filly for a lovely morning.

When arrived at the bolton branch for my course I was shocked to find I was the only one there but must say I really enjoyed myself and found loads of tips and ideas worth the money and good if your a beginner to cricut like me . Thank you Hobbycraft
Would have thought that Hobbycraft would have had a machine (maker3 ) upstairs so I could have been shown properly also some guild notes would have been nice to take away

Absolutely loved this! Filamena was really knowledgeable not just about the cards but other areas of craft, in particular the Cricut machines and what you can do with them.

The card making itself was fabulous, I could have stayed all day. We learned a different technique for card making and came away with so many ideas. The kits are great and I can't wait to just sit with my box and make christmas cards

Andrew was so great, everything I asked he answered and showed me also letting me do it, I asked about up loading pictures and sorting the colours out and we went though it (he even found the picture I had tried to do at home and couldn't ) . Andrew asked what colour vinyl and went down stairs as didn't have the colour I asked for, we went through putting a picture onto a canvas bag its so clever. When it come to heating the vinyl I asked about the iron sizes and prices I got great information and ended up buying the middle size one. The hour went so fast and I was so pleased with what we went through. The £10 for the lesson was money well spent and I would go again, I have come away with a great bag with the picture I wanted on it also showed me how to do a vinyl for a cup which I wanted. The only problem I had was coming out of the lift, i am in wheel chair and it wasn't easy (even with Andrews help) getting through as the doors are very close together and wasn't easy to turn my electric chair and get through. I just want to thank Andrew again for all his help.

The lady didn’t really know a lot about the machine. I asked about layering and got a quick this is how but didn’t show how to do it once’s it all cut out so still don’t know how to do. I asked about debossing and foiling and making words go round in a circle and she had no clue about any off them.

I would recommend this class for anyone who are going to buy a new sewing machine , Even a good instruction book is not as good as a person sat at your side showing you how to work all the different attachments ,stitch setting , This 1 day 1 to 1 workshop is just right( 1 hour) in a nice setting with a confident tutor who as a good understanding of different makes of machines ,And who is happy to show you everything you need to know to get the best out of your new machine .
I would be happy to book other workshops at the Bolton store in future if there was something crafty I needed to learn or improve my knowledge of .

Thank you so very much for perhaps one of the best hours of my life. I was a hopeless sewing machine beginner and feel confident to go and tackle things like quilting to curtain making Diane my instructor was very approachable and made me feel at ease. She helped me overcome problems and had all the correct tools to enable this. I took my own machine to the tutorial but there was a machine set up ready if I didn't have one. A huge thank you. I am so happy I went and will be back when I feel ready to tackle more complicated projects.
