Hi, I’m Hayley, the owner of The Crafty Corner in Brighouse.One of the things I’m most passionate about is creating workshops that bring people together. I love seeing people switch off from their busy lives, try something new and leave with a smile (and something they’ve made themselves!).The idea for our workshops came from wanting to create more than just a shop. I wanted The Crafty Corner to be a place where people could learn new skills, meet like-minded people and support talented local artists who are passionate about sharing their craft.I love teaching because it’s not really about creating something perfect, it’s about building confidence, having fun and enjoying the process. Some of the best moments are when someone says, “I’m not creative, ” and then leaves amazed at what they’ve made.Something people might not know is that every workshop is led by a talented local maker. By hosting these sessions, we’re not only giving people a creative experience, we’re also helping independent artists and small businesses share their skills with the community.Whether you’re coming on your own, with friends or family, my goal is for everyone to feel welcome, relaxed and inspired to get creative.
