Get hands-on in this drawing and mixed-media art course, led by a practising North London artist and documentary maker. You'll learn to observe like an artist, experiment with mark-making, and build real confidence in your own creative voice.
You'll begin with a few warm-up exercises to loosen your hand and sharpen your eye, before moving on to develop your own artwork using professional materials. Your teacher will guide you through line, tone, composition and texture, showing you how each element brings your ideas to life, with personalised guidance tailored to your style, interests and skill level throughout.
By the end, you'll leave with a completed artwork of your own, a handful of new techniques to keep using at home, and a better understanding of your own creative process. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to grow an existing practice, this one's designed to feel welcoming, relaxed and easy to settle into.
What you'll get

I’m a North London–based practising artist and documentary maker, and my creative journey has always been rooted in curiosity. Over the years, my practice has grown into an interdisciplinary blend of photography, animation, sketching, and drawing — a mix that allows me to explore stories from many angles. My work has been exhibited in galleries across London, and I also share and sell my pieces online.
My love for art began early, but the pivotal moment came when I realised how powerfully creativity can shift someone’s confidence and sense of self. I’ve seen art open people up, calm them down, spark conversations, and bring communities together. Those transformations are what keep me passionate about teaching.
I believe art doesn’t discriminate. It belongs to everyone, regardless of background, experience, or ability. When I teach, my goal is to create a space where people feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and discover their own artistic voice. I bring the same openness and curiosity from my own practice into every class.
Something people are often surprised to learn is how much documentary work influences my teaching. Years of observing people, places, and stories have taught me to pay attention to the small details — and I love helping students notice those details in their own work too.
Whether I’m guiding a complete beginner or supporting someone who wants to deepen their skills, I’m committed to making the creative process enjoyable, accessible, and genuinely inspiring
