Graffiti Art Experience

Learn graffiti basics, create your own canvas to keep, and have a blast at spray painting on our walls!

2 hours Class size 1 to 60 guests       £35

Discover the vibrant world of graffiti art in this hands-on workshop where you'll learn the cultural significance of this expressive medium within Hip-Hop culture, whilst creating some art of your own to showcase your newfound skills.
This engaging two-hour activity begins in our classroom, where you'll master the basics of letter design using child-safe paint pens on card. You'll then put on our protective overalls, mask, and gloves before heading to our weatherproof outdoor space, where you'll receive expert guidance on safe spray painting techniques to create your very own graffiti piece. The session culminates with you designing and bringing to life a 50cm x 25cm canvas using paint pens – a stunning artwork that dries instantly and is yours to take home.
Our skilled instructors ensure a welcoming environment for complete beginners, breaking down each technique into manageable steps. You'll learn how to develop your own style whilst understanding the rich heritage behind this contemporary art form.
You'll leave with not only your finished canvas, but also practical knowledge of graffiti artistry and its cultural context.
What you'll get
Each attendee will design and decorate their own 50cm x 25cm graffiti canvas that they can take home with them.

  • 5/5 from Helen Edwards, attended May 2026: Considering it was a very last minute decision to book the girls (14 & 16) onto this, the whole experience couldn't have been better. Easy to find, very friendly leaders had them decorating letters right from the off. We popped to the Custard Factory for a coffee, returned and they were suited up and spraying the wall like pros. Then they got to make a canvas each to take home. Both really enjoyed themselves. I felt it was good value for everything that was included.

  • 5/5 from Jussy Aujla, attended May 2026: I was searching for something truly special to do for my daughter’s birthday because she wanted a memorable mother-daughter experience, and finding Graffitiartist.com was absolutely perfect for us. We’re both very creative and love art, but this experience exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, Panda made us feel so welcome and instantly created a fun, relaxed atmosphere. He was incredibly engaging and passionate, and hearing about the history of graffiti was fascinating — we not only had an amazing time but also learned so much along the way. The entire session was exciting, interactive, and unforgettable from start to finish. Seeing my daughter so happy and confident while creating her own artwork made the day even more special. She had just turned 9, and this ended up being one of the best birthday experiences we could have chosen. I honestly can’t recommend this enough for anyone looking for something unique, creative, and genuinely fun. We both left smiling and already talking about when we can come back again!
  • 5/5 from Amanda Thomson, attended Apr 2026: Such a fun morning. David was so patient with the boys, listened to what they liked and gave lots of great tips for their art. Really relaxed and we didn't feel rushed at all. Definitely recommend it for a different birthday experience!
  • 5/5 from Yurizi Arteaga Zarza, attended Apr 2026: We booked the graffiti workshop as a team-building event and it exceeded our expectations. The graffiti artist delivered a highly engaging session that gave everyone the opportunity to switch off from work, think creatively and collaborate in a completely different environment. It was inclusive, well organised and struck the right balance between learning, creativity and fun. The quality of the artwork at the end was an added bonus, but the real value was seeing the team connect, laugh and enjoy themselves outside the usual work setting. The feedback afterwards was universally positive, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the experience to any team looking for something genuinely different and memorable.
  • 5/5 from Bianca Woodcraft, attended Apr 2026: David was super knowledgeable and really supportive of my very shy and self conscious Son who is exploring graffiti an an artistic expression. He said he had one of the best days ever and we hope to be back some time. Would 100% recommend. Bianca and James

  • 5/5 from Iqra Fayaz, attended Sep 2025: I booked a session with David for a group of 10 and it was great fun! Most of us didn't have previous experience with graffiti but he was a really supportive tutor. He made the session fun and engaging and was happy to adapt the session to our own individual interests, particularly in relation to graffiti as a form of resistance. The outside graffiti experience was definitely our teams favourite aspect and it was really easy to get comfortable as it wasn't totally in public making it a safe space to learn. Definitely would recommend booking.

The class was really well structured and was tailored to suit the varying ages of the children attending. Everything required to complete the experience was supplied, including all the safety clothing. Panda was very knowledgable and taught us lots about the different types of graffiti and street art. The group was very friendly and all the attendees worked in close proximity to share ideas. At the end of the class we were able to take home a lovely canvas each, along with our preparation work. We decided to purchase some acrylic markers, so that we could continue the fun at home. Thanks so much for a really fun experience.

Hi, my names David but my nickname is Panda. I’m a graffiti artist from Birmingham and have been since 1986, and started my own business through The Princes Trust in 1998. Since then I’ve been commissioned to urbanise some amazing spaces, from big walls to film sets, and a load of bedrooms in between! Workshop sessions have also been on the list, working with young and not so young people from all walks of life, and giving them the skills and know how to enjoy this exciting artform.
