In this 'expanded' glassblowing workshop, you will learn how to create multiple handcrafted pieces, including your very own drinking vessel.
This five-hour, hands-on activity offers a more in-depth experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the world of glassblowing. The workshop is designed for eager beginners and those looking to expand their existing skills, with our expert team guiding you every step of the way. With a smaller class size of up to four participants, you'll receive plenty of personalised attention.
During this session, you will learn more advanced techniques and have the satisfaction of crafting at least two unique glass pieces from molten glass. You will have the chance to learn how to gather glass from the furnace, apply vibrant colour, shape your creations and punty your handblown piece.
By the end of the workshop, you will leave with a new set of skills, a deeper appreciation for this ancient craft, and a collection of your own stunning, hand-blown glass creations.

‘Make with Molten’ is the workshop arm of glassware brand Molten 1090, founded by sisters Laura and Emily Smith in 2022. Day-to-day we create handblown glass tableware, lighting and decorative objects with a circular design ethos, but we also open our Stoke Newington studio doors for hands-on workshops, inviting people to experience the ancient craft of glassblowing.
Our team of experienced glass artisans will lead you through this creative journey step by step, showing you how to use specialised tools, apply glass colour, and to shape and blow glass. You’ll make your own glass creations and (after they’ve cooled down in the kiln) have some beautiful handcrafted pieces to adorn your home.
