Mending since 2018. My work has featured in The Guardian, The Observer and The Refinery UK, and I have facilitated workshops in art galleries, hospitals and community spaces. Repairing your own clothes is a small, radical act - making a commitment to the objects we take into our lives and refusing the (il)logic of disposability. It is also a tender, creative one: to mend is to attend closely to breakage, making a small artwork of repair that lives on the body. I am passionate about teaching sewing - the ancient technology of needle and thread - and sharing the pleasure of mending and making with your own hands.
