Design and create your own fused glass curve or wave

2.5 hours

Class size 1 to 8 (public classes), 4 to 10
£53 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

During this fun workshop, you'll learn how to create your own elegant fused glass curve or wave, using an array of glass elements to bring your vision to life. Whether inspired by nature's drama—like rolling waves or summer meadows—or following your own artistic instincts, you'll craft a unique piece of glass art.
If you've never worked with glass before, you'll be amazed at how accessible this art form can be. The process is thoroughly rewarding, allowing you to experiment confidently with different glass components.
Throughout this two and an half hour activity, you'll discover techniques for arranging and combining various glass elements to achieve your desired effect. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available to fuel your creativity! Alternatively, if your workshop is at Cartlands Tearooms in Kings Heath, the price includes a delicious cream tea.
After firing in my kiln, your piece will be ready for collection from the venue in approximately seven days.
What you'll get
All tools and materials are provided, and example work will be available to provide ideas if needed.

I’m Sue and my story with glass starts in a very similar way to yours if you are searching here with an interest in glass fusing. I tried a glass taster workshop at the school where I worked and was hooked! I dabbled, I made pieces for friends and then took a deep breath and bought a kiln! Fast forward five years, and here I am sharing my love for glass with others in my workshops, while remembering my beginnings and allowing you to take it at your pace with as much support as you need.
My inspiration is colour! My favourites are blues and greens but glass is sensational in any colour and when it comes out of the kiln, the end result always makes me smile.
