Sue, our host, was welcoming, informative & very knowledgeable about her craft. The venue (Dolphin House) was fantastic, light & airy, & Sue served refreshments during the session. We had a lovely, relaxing afternoon, creating our individual designs, under guidance from Sue, who will fuse them for us. It was a great experience & we look forward to seeing our creations once fused. The booking process was easy, Sue was very accommodating on dates - I actually can’t think how the whole process could be improved.

She is a very calm, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable person and made the class enjoyable and fun. We haven't actually received the finished article back from the kiln yet, but if it is the same as the last time, the result will be even better than we hoped for. I thoroughly recommend Sue's glass workshops and will be booking my next one again soon.

Sue explained clearly the different types of glass and techniques we could use, then spent time with each of us discussing our plans and how we could achieve them. She was very patient, and offered good advice, as well as cutting and shaping bits of glass to suit what we needed. It was a great workshop - a limited number of attendees meant that Sue had time for all of us. It went really well, and I hope to do another one soon!

Our teacher, Sue, was very professional and explained the process well being available to help or advise at all times during the session. I would definitely recommend to others and would certainly book another session at this venue.

Produced tea and biscuits and was clearly expert in what she did. I was amazed by the breadth of work produced by everyone. We did a glass plate with more glass added to make pictures which she took away to ‘fuse’ and bend to either a curve or a wave. I loved just letting myself enjoy the medium and exploring colour options. Will attend her classes again. Thank you

• 5/5 from Louise Barlow, attended May 2026: Having done a group class and made seascape waves, I re-booked a private class for 5 to take my children (mature 8 and 10 year olds) and mum as a mother's day gift. We had a wonderful time making flower meadows. It was a lovely inter-generational activity, really creative but also very calm and mindful. Each of us loved it and are thrilled with our glass waves. I can't recommend Sue, the classes or the venue highly enough!

Group was a nice size to enable this. Plenty of helpful ideas or bring your own. Lots of lovely resources too. This was Christmas present for me and would certainly recommend it.

There was a large choice of materials to work with so we were able to really get creative. Everyone in the group made a completely different design and they all looked beautiful. I’m looking forward to collecting our art next week and will be displaying mine with pride. It was a lovely way to spend a morning and was great value for money too. Thank you.

He had an idea of the type of design he was after, with sues support he achieved it.The materials and techniques where explained fully. We had a go at cutting our own bits of glass which was exciting. All in all another brilliant workshop with everyone's work looking fantastic. A big thankyou. I was making mine too fussy and next time I am going for bold design. Venue was spot on and all tools and essentials catered for. I learned a new craft that I have admired and am not as clever as I thought I was. Glass fusing is definitely better when one has had a few practises. Roll on another try in the future.
