Full Day Lino Printing Workshop

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore the relief printing process and create a series of unique lino prints onto paper. Our experienced and knowledgeable printmakers at Leeds Print Workshop will guide you through every step of the way.

Don't worry if you're new to printmaking - this workshop is designed for beginners, and our friendly instructors will make sure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the class. You'll learn the fundamentals of linocut, including carving your own lino block, choosing the right inks and paper, and utilizing various printing techniques.

During the class, you'll have access to professional printing presses and will also learn the art of hand burnishing. These techniques will allow you to experiment and achieve different effects in your prints. We'll provide all the necessary materials, including lino blocks, carving tools, inks, rollers, and paper, so you can focus on exploring your creativity.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have your own unique series of lino prints to take home and enjoy. Not only will you leave with tangible works of art, but you'll also gain inspiration and ideas for your next steps in printmaking. • You are advised to bring a portfolio folder along if you have one so you can carry your prints home - these are also available to buy at the workshop.
• Students should wear sensible shoes with a covered toe in the workshop (no sandals, flip flops, ballet shoes or high heels).
