Emma said, "Such a lovely teacher in a beautiful setting! Super helpful, skilled and easy going.
Loved how she helped me create a cute little dinosaur keyring for my little boy.
A fab morning thank you"
Come and make your own beautiful unique solid silver jewellery pieces - pendants, necklaces, earrings and charms. You will take away your pieces at the end of the course to wear or as a gift for loved ones. The number of items you make depends on the size and complexity of your pieces.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, Louise is on hand to help you create your own designs from the silver clay provided. She has moulds and ideas for creating wonderful designs.
Louise will then show you how to fire your piece. This process removes binding compound in the clay to leave a solid silver piece. You will then polish your creation. This whole process never ceases to amaze people, transforming a piece of silver clay into a final polished solid silver jewellery piece for you to show off with pride.
Louise has a relaxed, informal approach with the aim of having fun as well as learning and creating lovely pieces of jewellery. Come and experience the course yourself and increase the size of your jewellery collection!

My daughter and I were amazed and thrilled with what we managed to make. I cannot recommend Louise's workshops too highly. We shall definitely be going again!. Dawn N.
  • 5/5 from Joseph Patman, attended Apr 2025: Lovely Class, teacher was knowledgeable and very helpful, especially when comes to rectifying little mistakes! She was great at helping every class member realise their own ideas as well as providing plenty of inspiration for those who needed it.
  • 5/5 from Mary Reynolds, attended Feb 2025: I had a lovely day. Louise is very patient and helpful. She was also good at helping sort out mistakes:) Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Richard Meads, attended Feb 2025: Have had a great day today learning how to make silver jewellery. Everything was carefully explained to us all and help was on hand should we needed it. I made three lovely necklaces - a cut out leaf, patterned heart with tiny dragonfly and my favourite piece was a heart with tiny individual flowers, stars and a bee around it. That was the trickiest to made but am over the moon with it. Would definitely like to do another course and make something different such as ear rings.

I design, make and sell my own unique handmade silver jewellery and also teach how to make silver jewellery.
I began my journey into silver metal clay whilst running a pottery studio and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Standard Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best. I have worked hard to develop my skills and I strive to work to the highest standard.
I have over twelve years experience and I:
  • am a senior metal clay instructor
  • came third in an international competition held in Tokyo in 2024
  • had one of my jewellery pieces displayed in an exhibition in Tokyo in 2023
  • hold a higher diploma in silver clay
  • teach diploma levels 1 & 2
I mainly teach from my studio in Market Bosworth in Leicestershire. I also teach, and have taught, at various studios around the country including Chatsworth House, London, Nottingham, Northampton, Stratford, Birmingham, Melton Mowbray.
My classes are relaxed and informative, aiming to give all attendees an incredible experience as well as beautiful jewellery to take home with them.
Here’s a taste of what some class attendees have said about me:
“Gifted teacher and guides you through the process with hints and tips for each person along the way and has many years of experience, which comes across”
“She’s amazing”
“Great host”
I would love to meet you on one of my courses so please book as soon as you can.
