Join us for a macrame class where you'll have the opportunity to create your own stunning decorations using a variety of cords. Whether you're new to macrame or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for anyone who loves crafting and wants to learn new techniques.Not sure what macrame is? No worries! We'll guide you through every step and teach you all the essential macrame knots you need to know. You'll be amazed at how quickly you pick it up and start creating beautiful designs.Held at a charming new craft space in Ossett, called A Touch of Craft, you'll feel right at home as you get creative with the cords. Don't worry about bringing any materials - everything you need will be provided.Throughout the workshop, you'll have the chance to make several macrame decorations, and you'll even receive instructional sheets so that you can continue making more at home. It's hard to describe the joy and sense of accomplishment you feel when you've completed your own macrame creation.Whether you're looking for a new hobby, a unique gift idea, or simply want to add a personal touch to your home decor, this macrame class is the perfect opportunity to learn, create, and unwind in a warm and welcoming environment.PRIVATE BOOKINGS: Please note if you'd like to book a private session, I often can't use the venue outside of pre-bookable sessions. I'm based in Huddersfield and am happy to come to your home/office/space to lead a workshop if I'm free!

Your teacher
Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle. All my workshops are based on encouraging sustainability, building community and supporting attendees well-being. I am passionate about ensuring craft sessions are accessible to all, providing discounts on most courses for people on low/no incomes, seeking out venues that are wheelchair accessible and ensuring that workshops are calming with more of an emphasis on enjoyment and new skills over perfection.I also run workshops at festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man, End of the Road, Underneath the Stars, Deershed, Wychwood Cornbury, Greenbelt, Just So, Beacons, FarmFest, BeatHerder and more!I studied BA (Hons) Textile Crafts at the University of Huddersfield, specialising in textile printing. I’ve also studied weaving, felting, bookbinding, dark room photography and fine art printing at L'Ecole des Beaux Artes at Besancon, The Academy of Design in Kuopio and Leeds University, as well as studying a range of creative techniques on a foundation course at UcCA Canterbury.
