Kick off Halloween morning the right way with this family-friendly glow-in-the-dark art session – a spooky, creative start to the day that little ones and grown-ups will love in equal measure.
You'll create your own glow-in-the-dark canvas paintings and tote bags in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, with expert guidance and all materials provided throughout. Halloween treats and warm drinks are included to keep everyone fuelled and in the spirit, and aprons are on hand to keep costumes intact – though wearing yours is very much encouraged.
It's a brilliantly fun way to spend a Halloween morning together, whether you're coming as a family or a group of friends looking for something a little out of the ordinary.

Sally-Ann Johns graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen in 1999 with a BA (Hons) in Design and Craft. She then went on to receive her Masters in Product and Furniture from Edinburgh College of Art 2007. Sally-Ann now uses her fabrication skills to create beautiful and unique pieces of art using bendy ply and gold leaf. She has been working in the arts for over 20 years, exhibiting internationally and teaching a wide range of courses.
Anna Dittmann is an illustrator from San Francisco who loves to bring portraits and nature to life through her art. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, she specialises in creating book covers that blend realism, fantasy, sci-fi, and young adult fiction, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. Since early 2024, Anna has enjoyed teaching at Studio 48, where she shares her passion for art with both adults and kids!
Eesha Dusad is a recent graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, where she studied Fine Art Practice. She specializes in oil, acrylic, and watercolour painting, with a strong focus on experimenting with different mediums and materials. A passionate artist and craft enthusiast, she is always eager to learn and explore new creative techniques.
Kirsty Penny is an Edinburgh-based artist with a First-Class Fine Art degree from Leeds Arts University (2023). Her work explores family, childhood, and everyday moments through bold, expressive oil and pastel pieces. With vibrant energy and colour, she captures warmth and nostalgia, highlighting life’s subtle yet special moments.
