My Name is Clarissa, Part Time Resin Artist and Full time Paediatric Nurse.
My works are inspired by my hometown Goa, South of India, an Indo Portuguese colony until the early 60s, a sleepy seaside retreat and a small fishing village.
Most of my early childhood evenings were spent at the local beach surrounded by waves, and the sun always shinning.
They say, home is where the heart is, and my heart lives in Goa, whilst I physically create Seascape Resin Art work with fond memories of my childhood.
My resin work not only allows me to escape to the sea, but allows me to protect my mental health, as I suffered from post traumatic stress PTSD, after the traumatic birth of my son at 26 weeks old.
I will forever be grateful for BLISS UK charity who helped us through our tough times. As a business we now pledge £1.00 Of each sale going to Bliss UK via Work for Good UK, who help premature babies and their families, like they did mine when my son was born at 26 weeks.
I am a self thought artist, but many of my clients have come to many of my classes and enjoyed the friendly and warm environment.
I look forward to teaching you and having a good laugh whilst doing it.
