£27 - £30 (Earlybird price of £27 applies if you book into a public session 40+ days ahead) (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Get ahead of the festive rush and make something truly one-of-a-kind for your tree this year. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you'll learn the art of decoupage and decorative finishing techniques, transforming pre-loved baubles, coasters, and gift tags into beautiful, personalised Christmas keepsakes.
Choose from a gorgeous range of festive patterns and designs to suit your style, from classic and traditional to quirky and modern. It's the perfect way to give tired, forgotten decorations a new lease of life while picking up a craft skill you'll want to use again and again.
How the session runs:
We'll start with a warm welcome, with tea, coffee, and biscuits provided by Jacqui. Fancy something more barista-made? Our wonderful on-site café serves up festive cheer, with a 10% discount for workshop guests. Jacqui will then take you through some upcycling techniques and demonstrate just how simple and effective it is to give pre-loved decorations a new lease of life. She'll show you how to decoupage and talk through what makes a design really work.
What you'll do:
  • Learn core decoupage techniques and decorative effects
  • Upcycle and transform pre-loved baubles, coasters, and gift tags
  • Pick from a wide range of Christmas patterns and designs
  • Create beautiful, unique pieces to keep or gift
What to bring:
Bring along a pre-loved bauble or coaster of your own, ideally one that's seen better days or that you'd otherwise throw away. This is your chance to give it a beautiful new lease of life rather than the bin! Don't have one to hand? No problem, we'll have plenty available for you to use.

Hi!
I'm passionate about sustainability and upcycling and I also have a real love for anything mid-century modern. I've been teaching for 15 years and I was previously an Assistant Headteacher. During that time, I was responsible for teaching art across different year groups and developed a love for creativity.
I've upcycled many pieces of furniture including impressive looking pieces of Stag furniture, Harrops Better Furniture and many other mid century modern pieces from writing bureaus to dressers. I've also upcycled simple occasional tables and bedside tables.
I have used a variety of decorative effects for my furniture including stenciling, decoupage (both napkin decoupage and rice paper), furniture painting and wood effects to create truly stunning transformative pieces.
Three years ago, I had a cancer diagnosis. I wasn't going to be beaten and this spurred me on to follow a more creative path, hence my love of upcycling furniture and the Vintage Chic ReLoved was created. I'm delighted that I now have the opportunity to combine both my extensive teaching experience and knowledge of transforming pre-loved furniture into upcycling workshops aimed at creating a more sustainable circular economy.
My upcycling workshops are for everyone. They take place at Vintage Chic ReLoved, Ferry Point, Ferry Lane, Shepperton TW17 9LQ. It's a cosy riverside studio.
If you are moving house and feeling the pinch needing to create a welcoming home with existing furniture; to learning how to create a stunning, one of a kind piece as well as being conscious about sustainability and ecological impact, or you just love to be creative and crafty, then my workshops are for you.
If you have any questions at all or you just want to connect, please do drop me a line on here. I always love hearing from you and I love forward to meeting with you soon at one of my workshops.
Lots of Vintage Chic love
Jacqui
