What you'll do

Join this soothing terrarium workshop in Manchester. Make, create and do with the Common Room Socials Workshop.

During this class, you will choose from one of our colourful designs to make your own unique, vibrant cutout art. You will select your style and template before bringing it all together. You can change the colour scheme, tweak shapes and put your own personal stamp on it.

Vicky and Ella, your friendly instructors, will guide you through the creative process of making your framed art step by step. Even if you're a complete papercraft beginner, you can enjoy learning some artistic techniques and come away with your beautiful artwork.

Your finished piece will be completed with a frame to give your handmade art a professional touch, ready to hand on the wall or give to a loved one as a unique gift.

We’re passionate about craft but being able to make things you’d actually be proud to show off in your home or give as a gift. We also try to offer a range of activities that are a bit different, away from the norm but still being accessible for any level of craft skill.

Common Room is run by Vicky & Ella. Vicky is a teacher by day but also runs a perinatal mental health support group and is passionate about positive mental health. Ella has a creative background in photography and interior design and also runs her own business Ella's Garden. They've got a mutual love of craft and so decided to combine their skills and set up Common Room to facilitate other people to make and create.
