Christmas Wreath Workshop

Get into the festive spirit and create your own beautiful natural Christmas wreath at Cartlands Tearooms, set within the lovely surroundings of Kings Heath Park.Led by our friendly, experienced craft tutor, you'll learn step by step how to build and decorate a traditional festive wreath using natural seasonal foliage – think fir, eucalyptus, holly and pine cones – alongside a range of decorative finishing touches like ribbon, berries and dried orange slices.You'll start by learning how to bind your base and layer your greenery to build a full, balanced shape, before moving on to adding texture and colour with your chosen embellishments. Your tutor will guide you through each stage, sharing tips on proportion, placement and technique along the way, so there's no need to have made anything like this before.All materials and tools are provided, and you'll have plenty of choice over the foliage and decorations you use, so your finished wreath reflects your own taste – whether that's classic and traditional or a little more contemporary. With the cosy backdrop of Cartlands Tearooms and Kings Heath Park just outside, it's a lovely, relaxed way to spend a few hours getting ready for Christmas.By the end of the session, you'll have a handmade wreath ready to hang on your own front door, or to gift to someone special this festive season.
