What you'll do
Join Jeni for this fun, quirky sardine tin pottery workshop in Altrincham and create your very own characterful ornament from start to finish. You'll learn the slab hand-building technique to shape your tin, before turning your attention to modelling individual sardines, adding texture and detail to give each little fish its own personality.To finish, you'll get stuck into applying colourful glazes to your piece, so you can really make your sardine tin your own before it heads off to be fired. No previous pottery experience is necessary here – just bring your creativity and a willingness to get your hands muddy, and Jeni will guide you through every step along the way.Refreshments are provided throughout the session, though you're welcome to bring along a packed lunch to keep you going.Please note: following the workshop, your piece will be dried and fired, and will be ready to collect within three weeks.
