Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am. I trained in textile design at the University of Huddersfield, and from there built a career spanning over 20 years in the design industry, working across surface pattern, illustration, and product design. But really, my love for art started much earlier; drawing, painting, and making things has always felt completely natural to me.

A pivotal moment for me was deciding to bring everything together into my own business. I wanted the freedom to create work that felt personal and meaningful, while also building something flexible around family life. That’s how Catherine Davis Designs came to life; a space where I could combine my passion for hand-painted artwork with commercially relevant pattern design.

I’m incredibly passionate about what I do because I genuinely believe art has the power to bring warmth and joy into everyday life. Whether it’s a print on a wall, a pattern on fabric, or something small and giftable, I love knowing my work becomes part of someone’s home or story.
