Terrarium Workshop for Two

Share the experience of making a terrarium together!

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests       £85 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Create a garden in glass together in this relaxed terrarium workshop for two, hosted by Wylde Nature.
In this shared making experience, you’ll work as a pair to design and build one beautiful open terrarium using plants, moss, stone, and natural decorative materials. Rather than each person making a separate piece, you’ll collaborate on a single generous planted composition, choosing your plants, arranging the landscape, and learning how to care for it at home.
This workshop is ideal for couples, friends, siblings, family members, or an adult and child working together. It’s a gentle, creative way to spend time with someone while making something tactile, calming, and full of life.
Guided by our experienced plant and nature craft tutors, you’ll be shown how to layer your terrarium correctly, how to position plants for balance and long-term health, and how to create a planted landscape that feels natural rather than overly decorative. No previous plant knowledge or craft experience is needed.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your finished terrarium, along with simple care advice to help it settle in and continue growing.

Our sessions are rooted in a love of nature, craft, and wellbeing. Rather than rushing towards a perfect outcome, we focus on slowing down, noticing details, and creating something meaningful from living and natural materials.
Whether you come as a couple, with a friend, or with a child, this workshop is a chance to reconnect with nature and with each other through the simple act of making.

Welcome to Wylde Nature Studio. I am a biophilic designer with over eight years of experience dedicated to bringing the outside in. My journey with botanical design began in Glasgow, where I owned and operated independent plant shops, helping city dwellers weave greenery into their daily lives. Today, my family and I live right by the water in the beautiful coastal town of Helensburgh. This slower, nature-steeped lifestyle directly inspires the studio's true passion: sharing the restorative, hands-on joy of nature-based crafting.
Workshops at Wylde Nature Studio are designed to help you slow down, unplug, and create in harmony with the seasons. Drawing inspiration from the rich woodlands and coastlines around us, our classes offer a space to explore sustainable art and traditional, earth-friendly skills.
Whether you are looking for a mindful solo activity, a unique team-building experience, or a joyful, tactile afternoon for the kids, there is a space at the table for you. Our core workshops include:
Living Art: Build your own self-sustaining ecosystems in our guided terrarium-making masterclasses, drawing on my years of botanical and plant-care expertise.
Sustainable Crafting: Learn the ancient, rhythmic arts of natural dyeing and botanical paper-making using plant-based and recycled materials.
Foraged Creations: Transform mindfully gathered local elements into beautiful seasonal wreaths and wild, sculptural art pieces.
Fermentation Basics: Discover the science, flavor, and art of brewing your own delicious kombucha at home.
Wild Kids: Engaging, messy, and highly creative nature-art classes designed to help little ones explore the outdoors through their imagination and tactile play.
Every class provides a welcoming, beginner-friendly, and highly supportive environment. Materials are sustainably sourced, naturally derived, or responsibly foraged locally. You will leave the studio not just with a beautiful finished piece or a new skill, but with a renewed, tangible connection to the wild world around us.
