Step into the Quiet Creatives Workshop in Manchester, a relaxed, beginner-friendly afternoon of polymer clay jewellery making, hands-on fun and a little calm. Whether you've always wanted to make your own jewellery or you just fancy a cosy few hours doing something different, this is a warm, low-pressure place to start.
It's made for quiet souls, hands-on makers and curious first-timers alike, with an unhurried atmosphere that lets you work at your own pace. Come on your own or bring a friend, chat as much or as little as you like, and switch off from the everyday rush for a while. No previous experience needed.
You'll learn simple polymer clay techniques and put them into practice by creating at least two pairs of your own earrings. While they bake, you'll paint your own initial charm keyring, a lovely keepsake for yourself or a thoughtful gift for someone special. Everything you need is provided, including all the polymer clay, materials and tools, step-by-step guidance throughout, and refreshments of tea, coffee and squash.
By the end, you'll be ready to wear your handmade jewellery and take every one of your creations home the same day. Pop along for an afternoon of creativity, connection and making something completely your own.

FAQ

Do I need any experience?
Not at all! This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, so there's no need to be artistic or have tried polymer clay before. Everything will be explained step by step, and you'll have guidance throughout. Most importantly, there's no pressure to make everything perfect or to be the most outgoing person in the room. Just come as you are and enjoy the process.
Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! All materials and tools will be provided. You’re welcome to bring a bottle of water if you’d like, although there’s also a coffee bar where you can purchase drinks. If you wear glasses for close-up work, it’s worth bringing them along as we’ll be working with some small details!

Hi, I’m Emily, the maker behind July Studio, a handmade polymer clay jewellery brand based in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire.
I started July Studio in 2020 as a little creative outlet alongside my full-time job. What began as a hobby gradually grew into a creative business that allows me to turn my love of making into something meaningful.
My jewellery is inspired by my own experience of growing up shy and learning to express myself more confidently. I love creating pieces that do more than look pretty — they’re designed to spark conversations, bring people together and remind quieter souls that they deserve to take up space, too. Flowers are a particular favourite of mine because I love the idea of blooming into confidence.
I wanted to bring that same feeling of creativity and connection into my workshops. You don't need to be naturally artistic or have any experience with polymer clay to join in. My aim is to create a relaxed, welcoming space where you can slow down, try something new and enjoy making something with your own hands, without any pressure to be perfect.
Whether you're coming along on your own or bringing a friend, I hope you'll leave with jewellery you're proud of, a little more confidence in your creativity, and perhaps a new connection or two along the way.
I can't wait to get creative with you!
