  • 5/5 from Tracy Christie, attended Aug 2026: It was great having someone to show you the basics and then keep you right as you learn
  • 5/5 from Aiman Jamilah Abdul Rahman, attended Aug 2026: Love it! I knew nothing about crochet but the teacher was very patient, repeating as needed. She clearly has had a lot of experience. She explained everything slowly and clearly and in detail. We did a double stitch and a triple stitch (I think that's what they're called). She provided two balls of wool and a crochet hook and a printout guide for us to refer to later. I would definitely recommend for beginners.
  • 5/5 from Leona Welsh, attended May 2026: Such a lovely class, was very nervous as I am left handed and Fatima made it easy to follow and helped me correct my errors. I felt so comfortable and confident with the new skills and learned single double and treble.. way more than I thought I could do.
  • 5/5 from E Wright, attended Apr 2026: Excellent class! Fatima was friendly and patient. Small group size was great.
  • 5/5 from Helen Campbell, attended Apr 2026: Enjoyed the beginners crochet class very much. Our teacher, Farima, in the Falkirk shop was lovely and so helpful. She is so enthusiastic and such a talented young lady it would be difficult not to have fun. We learned the basic stitches for crochet, chain, double and treble. Would definitely recommend
  • 5/5 from Grace McMillan, attended Apr 2026: Good class to start off learning how to crochet - Fatima was patient and good humoured throughout and keen to share her own experience in learning the art of crochet A nice way to spend some time with like minded people and begin to learn something new
  • 5/5 from Katie Duerden, attended Mar 2026: I’m so glad I signed up for this class. I’ve wanted to learn to crochet for ages and YouTube tutorials did nothing for me. Fatima was really great. She explained things really well and had a lot of patience with me as it took me a few attempts to get the hang of things. She had some great tips to help as we learn and become more experienced and was able to suggest some items that might help us along the way. I’ll definitely sign up for more classes in the future.
  • 5/5 from Katie Russell, attended Mar 2026: We had a lovely class with Lauren. My daughter came with me and she is only just turned 9 but had started learning to crochet herself around a year ago and I was a beginner. She helped us both learn two stitches and we’ve continued to do it since we’ve come home. She had lots of patience and was very friendly and helpful.

  • 5/5 from Megan Keddie, attended Mar 2025: My partner and I really enjoyed this crochet class. The instructor was kind and professional, and helped us through any bumps in the road with patience. My partner and I were the only students there, so we were very lucky in almost getting 1-1 tuition. The booklets we got to take away with us have been very helpful, as has the yarn and crochet hook we were given and I have continued practicing since the class at home. I have attached a photo of the treble crochet practice square we did in class that I am continuing at home.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Mar 2025: Would love it if you had the next level up class so I could continue with my learning journey. The teacher was great and very patient. Great class for a beginner.
  • 5/5 from Jean Young, attended Mar 2025: I have tried a few times to learn to crochet - by watching on line tutorials and by following guidance in a book for beginners. None worked for me. This face to face learning was excellent for me. All my questions were answered - all the things I didn’t understand from previous attempts at learning were clarified. It was a relaxed atmosphere and the trainer was very patient and took the time to show us how, as well as explaining what to do. She started off by asking each of us of our crocheting experience so she knew what she was dealing with. Only thing is -I don’t know her name. Perhaps introductions at the beginning …… I really enjoyed this workshop and am glad I went.

  • 5/5 from Frances Shepherd, attended Dec 2024: Brilliant starter course. Delightful, instructive, and helpful teacher. Perhaps consider a screen to stop shoppers from interrupting the instructor with general shop queries.
  • 5/5 from Janice Thomson, attended Nov 2024: Crocheting is something I have always wanted to learn and it was made so easy with Helen. Thank you. You had a very diverse mix of ages and a very full class but everyone left having learned something. Such patience and the goodie bag that we left with was well worth the cost of the class.
  • 4/5 from May Wyllie, attended Nov 2024: I really enjoyed my time with Hazel. She is a lovely girl, with lots of patience. I am a true beginner and had problems holding the crochet hook the right way. I did 2 small squares, which I was pleased with. Got wool hook and notes to take home. So I'm going to practice.

  • 5/5 from Nicola-Jane, attended Oct 2024: Ideas for your review: I took my mum along for beginners crochet for her birthday. She can already knit, but wanted to learn something new Our teacher was very nice, encouraging and helpful. The venue was warm and spacious. Crochet hooks, stitch holders and 2 balls of wool were provided. We learn chain, double and treble crochet stitches The class was good value for money. I liked that it was just mum and I so we got immediate help and didn't have to worry about monopolising the teachers attention if we had been in with people we didn't know.

  • 5/5 from Joanna, attended Aug 2024: Helen did a great job showing us the basic crochet stitches and was very patient! Lovely yarn provided and a wee hook to start us off. The instructions needed some annotations for clarity. Would be nice to include a simple pattern to show what you can make with the stitches learned.
