  • 5/5 from Louise Hall, attended Aug 2026: Learnt to double and treble crochet, great teacher who created a relaxed atmosphere and gave one to one support throughout.
  • 5/5 from April Nelson, attended Jul 2026: Our teacher, Sarah was amazing. Very patient and kind. Her skills were easy to follow and she didn’t mind repeating them. There was fun and humour leaving a desire to go back for more tuition. A great afternoon thank you
  • 5/5 from Zubeda Haque, attended May 2026: The girls (yr 6 aged) absolutely loved it! The teacher, Sarah, was friendly and very patient. The girls have learnt and are willing to give a go at home.
  • 5/5 from Fiona Shaw, attended Mar 2026: Sarah was a very good and enthusiastic teacher. She taught us the first steps of crochet and helped us with any difficulties we had. We finished the set task earlier than expected so she helped us all move onto something more advanced rather than finishing early. We really enjoyed the lesson. I didn't fully understand how to use the gift card to buy the class but I contacted Hobbycraft Woking and the lady was very efficient at helping me through the process.
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Gentry, attended Feb 2026: Sarah was lovely and friendly with the children. Very clear with her instructions.
  • 5/5 from Deborah Gibson, attended Feb 2026: The 5 star rating is driven by how good the workshop was once we got there, largely due to Sarah who was an excellent teacher. The booking process was far from smooth and again, Sarah was very helpful and flexible. On the day though we had a great experience and covered quite a lot. Sarah was able to accommodate slightly different rates of progress between us and it was an enjoyable session.
  • 5/5 from Stella Russell-Jones, attended Nov 2024: Sarah was very friendly and welcoming. She encouraged my granddaughter with her crochet, was patient and clear with her instructions. We both enjoyed the half and a half session, which went very quickly!
  • 5/5 from Ruth Berchowitz, attended Oct 2024: Brilliant introductory session for my daughter and I. Our teacher was so patient and made the session really fun. We will be back to learn more x
  • 5/5 from Delilah Blackley, attended Jul 2024: We’ve just come back from a great class with Sarah at Woking. She was very patient and we learnt a lot. Will definitely be booking a follow up!
  • 5/5 from Jasmine Sia, attended Jul 2024: Linzi was an excellent teacher and as a first time crocheter, I learned a lot from her. This was also my first workshop with hobbycraft and it was a great experience.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Park, attended Jul 2024: The crochet workshop was fabulous! I learned so much in the time. Superb materials and instruction. Our teacher was brilliant! So patient and knowledgeable. She really put everyone at ease and built confidence that we CAN crochet! And we did. The venue was fab. The rest of the staff were so friendly. I highly recommend this workshop!
  • 5/5 from Morag Mather, attended Jul 2024: Lindsay was fantastic, she taught in a relaxed and helpful way. We were provided with all the materials we needed. The group was small so it was easy for Lindsay to help us all. I am no longer scared to try and crochet. Thank you so much.
  • 4/5 from Anne Lloyd, attended Jun 2024: Good venue and teacher. Easy parking. Teacher was very patient and happy to go over things. Light hearted and just what I was looking for
  • 4/5 from Vivienne Harris, attended Jun 2024: The beginners guide to crochet was very good. The teacher was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The venue in Woking was a bit too cold due to the air conditioning. The class was definitely value for money and I would attend another event in the future. It is good to try new things.
  • 5/5 from Alla Bennett, attended May 2024: Thank you, I already started on my first project. It was a good introduction that helps you to start.
  • 5/5 from Philip, attended May 2024: I had a very enjoyable time relearning the basic crochet stitches under the enthusiastic guidance of Lyndsie, who demonstrated a stitch and then gave individual help as required - whilst keeping a watchful eye on all her students. She kept us focussed and moved on when she was sure we had all grasped the theory of what we needed to do. (It is testament to her teaching, and enthusiasm, that I have not referred to the supplied notes at all, and have added to my swatch since leaving the shop. We all left knowing what we should be doing - with most able to achieve acceptable stitches most of the time. The invitation to return to show our achievements in the future was very encouraging. The venue was acceptable, but the chairs were very basic - lacking any padding (easy to clean?). I found the yarn/hook combination a bit unfriendly - they didn't seem to 'slide' very easily. (Interestingly the white yarn was easier to manipulate than the coloured yarn, despite both being the same make and ply.) I thought that the class, including two balls of yarn and a crochet hook, was good value, and really enjoyed the enthusiasm and skill of our tutor and the friendliness of the other students. I left feeling able to tackle making something - rather than just practicing stitches. Many thanks - especially to Lyndsie (hope I got the spelling right).
  • 5/5 from Hayley Day, attended May 2024: Lyndsey was a brilliant teacher, good fun and great patience. Lots to learn in a short time, so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you
  • 4/5 from Zoe Squillaci, attended May 2024: Had a great evening learning a new skill! There were 4 in our group and we were all complete beginners. Our instructor, Lindsey, started us off with the very basics, how to start off, do a chain, double crochet, triple crochet, and how to finish off. She was very knowledgeable and if we didn't understand she took time to show us individually how to do it. She had a lovely relaxed, friendly and calm style to set us at ease.
  • 5/5 from Tracey Crabtree, attended Apr 2024: Loved loved loved this class. Great teacher who was very patient and made learning fun.
  • 5/5 from Alison Simpson, attended Apr 2024: An excellent introduction to crochet with a wonderful teacher - thank you for being so friendly and patient. Learnt the 3 basic stitches used for many crochet projects so looking forward to giving them a go at home.
  • 5/5 from Vickie Edwards, attended Apr 2024: Thank you so much for an informative wonderful evening, creative honest and a lovely atmosphere pushing myself with social situations and this was amazing thank you so much
  • 5/5 from Jan, attended Apr 2024: The teacher was excellent and thorough. I feel it was good value for money and good to meet other class members.
  • 5/5 from Katie Traub, attended Apr 2024: Fab class! I have the lesson to my mum for a Christmas gift and brought my three daughter along too. It was lovely to learn something new together. Lindsey gave us just the right amount of guidance and enough to get started with crocheting. Greta value for money and really pleased to have the wool and hook to take home. We’re all addicts now!
  • 5/5 from Simone Berry, attended Mar 2024: Excellent class led by very proficient teacher who calmly explained everything very clearly. I had tried to learn to crochet before without success but by the end of the evening I felt confident about getting started and doing the two stitches taught. I will definitely recommend and book another course in the future to improve my skills. Thank you

  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Mar 2024: Great session, and a very patient teacher! Could possibly have done with the class being 30 mins longer as it felt like we were just getting the hang of things
  • 5/5 from Andrea Parker, attended Mar 2024: A Xmas gift of lesson with daughter. Teacher Lindsay was very patient, and helped out individually as well as explaining and showing how to start crochet, kept it fun too! Comfortable and quiet setting upstairs in shop, with background music all good. The cloth bag of materials we each received was great- crochet hook, 2 big balls of wool, crib notes and stitch counter. Good value for money, length allowed right for starter lesson. Enjoyed the easy comfortable manner lesson was held with Lindsay, and that being a small group of 5 we each had plenty of attention to make a good start on our crocheting
  • 5/5 from Joanna Avey, attended Mar 2024: Lindsay was great, organised, patient and very helpful The venue was fine but the music was annoying as the volume impaired hearing. Materials were fine and appropriate. I liked the takeaway notes to review the session at home Beginner crotchet. I feel as all were beginners, 5 is too many for a group of that length. The group should be smaller or session li her. Did not have enough time to feel co fir table in my learning. Value for mi ey - yes, would have paid mire for longer and smaller. I liked Lindsay our instructor who inspired us to achieve and carry on.
  • 5/5 from Katherine Russell, attended Feb 2024: Teacher was great, very patient. Came away with a much better understanding of the basics great value for money, just need to practice now.
