Hi! I'm Georgia
I’ve been a creative for as long as I can remember. While other weans were asking for toys, I was the one begging for art sets every Christmas, knowing early on that this was what I wanted to do with my life. I still remember the sheer euphoria of stepping into an art classroom for the first time, a feeling that came rushing right back years later when I walked into my college studio. There’s a specific, electric energy that those spaces command, and it’s like nothing else.
That drive led me to a formal art education, where I gained an HND with Distinction in Applied Arts, a First-Class Honours BA in Contemporary Art, and a PGDE in Art and Design making me a qualified secondary school art teacher.
Over the years, I’ve found that I love teaching just as much as I love refining my own practice. There is nothing better than watching a student’s confidence grow, seeing the "penny drop" moment when a concept clicks into place, and sharing that genuine sense of pride when a piece comes together.
My career has allowed me to share art with hundreds of students across all walks of life. Alongside mainstream schools, I’ve volunteered my time working with adults living in care and spent time teaching within prison art education. I truly believe that creative spaces belong to everyone.
Behind the Scenes:
When I’m in the zone, my favourite way to work is to completely hyperfixate on a piece spending a solid 24 hours living and breathing the project without a single break. While having a little one makes those marathon studio sessions a bit rarer these days, that same focus and energy are exactly what I bring to my classes.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your technical skills or are stepping into a studio for the very first time, I can't wait to welcome you, tap into that creative energy, and see what you make.
