Silver Ring Making Workshop

Make a gorgeous solid silver ring with guest teacher Ishbel Watson.

2.5 hours Class size 6 guests       £100 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

In this workshop you will make a solid sterling silver ring completely from scratch. You will learn some fundamental jewellery making techniques, including how to solder, form, hammer and texture the metal.
Your tutor, Ishbel Watson, is a jewellery designer and maker with over 15 years of experience. After choosing from a selection of sample rings, she will guide you step by step throughout the whole process until you’ve made your very own piece of hand-crafted silver jewellery.
It’s a really fun class and the perfect introduction to the (slightly addictive) skill of jewellery making. The workshop is aimed at complete beginners and you will leave the session wearing your shiny new ring on your finger.
We will be working in a workshop environment so please wear comfortable clothes, no open toe shoes and bring your glasses if you need them to see for close up work.
All tools and silver are provided.
We can also arrange for private parties of 6 – 8 people so if this date doesn’t suit you drop us an email.
Light refreshments provided. Due to the tools being used in this workshop no alcohol during the workshop.

At Braw Wee Craft Club, we believe in the power of creativity to transform lives. Based in the heart of Glasgow, our vibrant studio is dedicated to providing engaging workshops for both young and adult learners. Our mission is simple: to promote creativity as a catalyst for change and well-being while ensuring that crafts and creative activities are accessible and fun to all.
As a mission-driven company, we focus on enriching lives rather than maximising profits. Braw Wee Craft Club is an extension of the highly successful workshop programme we initiated at Braw Wee Emporium back in 2017 by Jennifer. Since then, we've welcomed over 1, 500 individuals who have discovered their creative potential under our guidance.
From crafting gorgeous lampshades and beautiful bottle lamps to mastering the art of arm-knitting giant blankets, our workshops are as diverse as your imagination. And we're thrilled to introduce our latest addition, the much-anticipated "Intro to Jesmonite" and Candle Making workshop, where you'll delve into the fascinating world of this unique material.
But our dedication to creativity extends beyond our studio walls. We also collaborate with local businesses and community organisations, bringing our expertise to various settings, and engaging their staff and participants. Led by Jennifer McGlone, our owner, who holds a degree in Community Arts and has over 20 years of experience delivering transformative workshops across the UK, we ensure that every workshop is an unforgettable experience.
So whether you're a seasoned crafter or just starting your creative journey, Braw Wee Craft Club is here to ignite your passion, connect you with like-minded individuals, and empower you to express yourself through art.
