What you'll do
Fancy a wholesome afternoon creating pottery? Discover the joy of making your own beautiful handmade pieces at this fun and hands-on workshop which runs in various venues across Preston and Manchester.Your passionate teacher will teach you the technique of 'pinching' which is perfect for those total clay newbies! You'll be shown how to use the air-dry clay with a quick demo at the start, then you'll be given the freedom to let your imagination run wild.There will be guidance gladly provided throughout the workshop. Popular finished products so far have been trinket dishes, ashtrays, planters, candlestick holders, sculptures and more. At the end of this relaxed and casual pottery workshop, you'll have the confidence, knowledge and skills to continue your DIY journey with hand building clay!Please note:
- This workshop is held at multiple locations, so be sure to double-check the venue for the date you choose
- A photographer may be present at some sessions
- Whilst this is an air-dry clay workshop, you can opt for your piece(s) to be fired and glazed, returned to you via post.

Hi! I’m Hollie, a ceramicist and designer-maker based in Lancashire, UK. I make colourful, functional home-ware that serves a purpose whilst spreading joy! I first fell in love with ceramics when I was introduced to small batch production methods such as the traditional techniques of wheel-throwing, mold-making and slip-casting. After graduating in 2019, I set up my studio with the intention of offering pottery workshops alongside creating my pieces.
