  • 5/5 from Lynette Burrell, attended Apr 2026: Atmosphere at the brewery is fantastic. The painting class is relaxed and great fun. Our teacher was amazing. Nobody's painting was the same and it was interesting to see how everyone did it slightly different. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend for a relaxed fun night out
  • 5/5 from Elsabet Hawes, attended Apr 2026: The Brush party at Double Barrel Brewery was great. Double Barrel's beer is great and 7 Bone Burgers are some of the best in town. The painting was great fun. I enjoyed every moment and we had great banter. The teacher was lovely and really tried to help where she could. And went to the back to help where people couldn't hear her as well. Fun night all around
  • 4/5 from Claire, attended Apr 2026: Really fun way to spend an evening with friends. It’s all explained well step by step, so even if you have never painted before that will not matter. Great venue as well :)
  • 3/5 from Judy Nelson, attended Apr 2026: I think the location let the class down. It was a very loud bar so I couldn’t hear the teacher at all. The helper did try to come and give instructions to those of us who couldn’t hear. The space for each individual was extremely minimal and not appropriate for the task. I don’t understand the ‘sip’ part of the event, as nothing was complimentary. It was fun meeting some of the other people and seeing everyone’s interpretation of the art. Glad I tried it and will consider doing another one if the location has a more dedicated area and space for the activity.
  • 5/5 from Lauren Helmore, attended Feb 2026: We had a great time! The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, instructions were clear, and it was quite therapeutic!
  • 5/5 from Aimee, attended Feb 2026: The tickets were purchased for me for my birthday and I’ll be recommending Brush Party to everyone as a gift idea! The session was really relaxed and friendly. The hosts were really approachable, and made the whole experience comfortable and fun! I am absolutely thrilled with my painting. I’ve never really painted before, and I was feeling nervous about getting anything close to the sample. The instructions were super clear and paced in a way anyone could follow it. We’ll be attending another Brush Party again soon!
  • 4/5 from Sandra Withey, attended Feb 2026: Class was fun but very fast paced, difficult to keep up. The sound quality of the microphone wasn’t great, kept cutting out, which didn’t help. Great venue - spacious and welcoming with good parking.

  • 5/5 from Sandy Millin, attended Sep 2025: We really enjoyed this event. It was my second time doing Paint and Sip and my friend's first. I like the step by step approach which is perfect for someone who has never painted as an adult and who never enjoyed art at school. Double Barrelled is a great location for it as there's plenty of space and you could hear the teacher with no problems. The sailing picture was lovely

  • 5/5 from Ruth, attended Nov 2024: Lisa was a fantastic teacher and talked us through each part step by step. It was a good, fun evening and we relaxed more as the session progressed. The venue had loud music, and there was a loud group within our session. It was hard to concentrate at times due to this, but Lisa was very patient and repeated things when needed, putting everyone at ease.
  • 5/5 from Eszter Gere, attended Nov 2024: I decided to go on my own to do something for myself. The people were friendly and the atmosphere was just very welcoming. The tehcnique and step by step guidance was super helpful and easy to follow. The teacher was great, breaking down the paint to components and steps helped not to get overwhelmed! Having as a very first painting experience and looking at my first ever paint, very happy with the result! Definitely going on the wall!
  • 5/5 from Meena Chhokar, attended Nov 2024: Lots of fun! Definitely would go again and the guidance was good. Just thought we needed a bit more space as it was quite compact at the venue
  • 5/5 from Sandra Altug, attended Nov 2024: The teacher was awesome! My sister and I had so much fun! Great atmosphere, lots of laughs and surprisingly, we've managed to paint a half decent painting! Would 100% recommend!
  • 5/5 from Nataliya Malish, attended Nov 2024: All was good, pictures came up quite nice. Painting the tree was the best part, a nice atmosphere
  • 3/5 from Martin Mills, attended Nov 2024: Thank you for the class. The paintings did turn out well, but the instruction did feel a little rushed. The class was advertised as 3hrs, but we stopped instruction at 9.30pm
  • 5/5 from Laura Priest, attended Oct 2024: My first Brush Party at the Pitcher and Piano in Reading. What a fantastic experience, with a great atmosphere. Lots of laughter to be had. Our instructor walked us through the process with humour and class all in one. I’m looking forward to the next local event.
  • 5/5 from Fran Small, attended Oct 2024: The even was fantastic instructions were clear and I had a great time and a lovely painting in the end! It was my first time but it will be many more to come. Next time with my friends Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2024: Enthusiastic host, made it easy to follow along. I was very impressed with how my painting turned out as I don’t consider myself artistic at all!
  • 5/5 from Rosie Povey, attended Oct 2024: Very relaxed but clear instructions :) Lovely supportive vibe Defo come again - enjoyed having small breaks to get a drink
  • 4/5 from Emma Poole, attended Oct 2024: Teacher was good but quite fast paced. Where on the others I have done this one was just paint they were no blending and shading.
  • 5/5 from Lorraine Gleeson, attended Sep 2024: It was to spend time with family, teacher was great, a bit quick in places though. Venue was ok but a bit squashed. It was a fun evening and value for money. Will definitely do another one but will pick a different venue
  • 5/5 from Madeleine Gozman, attended Sep 2024: Teacher was brilliant. Patient & helpful. Learnt a lot about colour mixing & highlighting. Though no experience at all, produced a great painting. Thank you for a memorable evening.
  • 4/5 from Debbie Mackay, attended Sep 2024: Really good fun. Teacher was friendly, bubbly and really clear in her instructions - I am so impressed with my efforts having not been near a paintbrush since school - some 40 years ago! The venue was really cramped however - I believe they had moved the session from one area to another last minute. Overall though great fun and good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Catherine Read-Davies, attended Aug 2024: venue great, teacher and assistant teacher both brilliant and very patient with us. Loved the whole event. Thank you
  • 4/5 from Dion Farrell, attended Aug 2024: Picked this class for the picture which I enjoyed(turtle), but felt it was too technical for that evenings event. The venue was fine but did not enjoy sitting next to the window with everyone peering in. I do feel the brushes were not very suitable for that picture as there was plenty of small detail. Teacher was lovely very patient and encouraging. I actually finished my picture a home.
  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Aug 2024: Overall the class was good and user friendly, though perhaps the brushes could have been better. As some of the bristled fanned out stiffly, making detail work more difficult.
  • 5/5 from Gudelia Knight, attended Jul 2024: My husband and I really enjoyed the night out doing this activity. It was such a great time and way to discover our creative side. The teacher was super patient and clear on instructing. I never knew I could paint from scratch! I’ve been painting by numbers all these years :)
  • 5/5 from Shazia Sheikh, attended Jul 2024: The Art Teacher Chase was so lovely, she welcomed myself and my sister and made us feel comfortable It was very noisy as The football was on, but you have kindly dealt with this matter and we are very appreciative We enjoyed the painting a lot amd the group were all so lovely, just at times was very hard to hear the art teacher because of all the noise in the bar from the football being on Thank you very much, I would prefer lower chairs as the chairs were really high, but that may have been again from the football and perhaps we had no choice to sit there Was still a lovely experience
  • 4/5 from Laura Blackburn Finlay, attended Jul 2024: Ok so this is complicated and any negativity is down to the venue - trying to paint with the Euro semi final on loudspeaker was not easy then there was the R&B / D&B DJ set that came on afterwards The venue staff were awful but the Brush party staff were fantastic - they dealt with everything as best they could and kept everyone good humoured and engaged. They have offered a replacement session which is very generous. Chase the instructor was patient and clear and very sweet about our efforts.
  • 5/5 from Siobhan McNulty, attended Jun 2024: Super friendly. Kind instructors and a lovely finished piece to take home. I go to overcome social anxiety and it really helps me
  • 4/5 from Sonal Jain, attended Jun 2024: Great class, quite intensive Lovely trainer. We were a group of friends and had good fun.
  • 4/5 from Georgina Fulford, attended Jun 2024: Wash apron. Maybe offer to change water in cups between main colour changes. The breaks were quick. Liked finishing by 10pm but felt a bit rushed at times. Really pleased with the results though.
