Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

I made my own notes as that's how I learn best. Highly recommended & Dee was very knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop even though it was a lot of information to absorb, I bought a book too. Excellent customer service & Dee is a credit to the organisation. Thanks
  • 5/5 from Kellie Walker, attended Apr 2025: Had a great session, teacher put me at ease. Can’t recommend more

I was struggling with cricut design space and Anna explained it perfect for me. I now feel more confident and I am looking forward to using my new machine. If you are struggling like myself I can highly recommend a one to one. Thank you Anna for all your help.
  • 5/5 from Natalie Halliwell, attended Oct 2023: Dee was really lovely and easy to talk to. She had amazing knowledge of the cricut machines and how everything worked - I felt in very capable hands. The hour went very quickly and I suspect I may return for another course once I have found my feet on my own machine at home. She gave me the basics to get started and find my way around design space. Venue was perfect - within the store but very secluded on upper level so no distractions during the class. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone who wants to feel confident getting started or who needs expert advice on any topic/project. Thank you Dee

  • 5/5 from Angela Knox, attended Feb 2023: I booked a lesson as I'm an absolute beginner with Cricut. Dee was friendly and approachable and knowledgeable about Cricut and showed me how to get started as well as plenty of tips. We made two small crafts in store and I feel more confident about using the machine now and the software. I will book another class in future to help me along as I progress.

  • 3/5 from Sheena Ferry, attended Oct 2022: My lesson was OK although it was definitely not worth £15. It took a lot of the time just to find a design to cut. I feel I could have got a lot more out of the lesson and I expected it to be a lot better and more insightful than it was. The lady who did the lesson was nice though.
  • 5/5 from Laura Dickinson, attended Jul 2022: Dee was amazing and managed to fit so much in to our session. She listened carefully to what I wanted to try and do and she was really clear with her demonstration and explanations. I am over the moon as the session was so much more than I expected it to be! Would definitely recommend!
  • 5/5 from Michael Mountain, attended Jun 2022: Ashley, was very informative and precise. Patient because I'm new to it. Got many ideas in what I want.
  • 5/5 from Shirley Herbertson, attended May 2022: Great teacher, full of useful information. Showed how to create things and how to access apps. Very worthwhile lesson. Gave information on what to use for different projects. She Earned her 5 stars without a doubt
  • 5/5 from Alisonjane Haddow, attended Feb 2022: Ashley was fabulous it was lovely to speak with someone who had knowledge and understanding of what I needed and also to discuss and exchange things regarding creating and what you can and can’t do. If I was a complete beginner I would have still understood everything that was shown in the lesson. I walked away with better knowledge of design space especially the welding and also a better understanding of infusible inks and the result you get using cheaper materials that really aren’t made for infusible ink projects and the correct materials and getting the best result for your product.
  • 5/5 from Alison Banks, attended Feb 2022: She was very helpful and walked me through all the questions I needed to ask, without being patronising. Was happy to repeat things I hadn't fully understood
  • 5/5 from Chris Rhodes, attended Jan 2022: I had a great time with Stephanie today. She was so patient and her knowledge of Cricut Maker was excellent. She was able to answer all my questions and we quickly had a good rapport going on. She anticipated my needs and supplied the knowledge to enable me to have the confidence to have a go! Not being a card maker or scrap booker I couldn't really see how I would use this gift from my husband but once Stephanie knew I work with fabrics she was soon able to show me how I would use my Maker to good use in my quilting. Thank you Stef.x
  • 5/5 from Anne Dawson, attended Jan 2022: Ashley was brilliant, very friendly made me feel at ease straight away. The venue was ok, upstairs out of the way but a bit untidy as the upstais area is for storage. I was disappointed not to get 'hands on' all materials were there to look at and pick up. Do I think it was value for money? Not really, I expected to walk away with something physical - even a little certificate or having made something, however, I did walk away with more confidence in using my cricut, and Ashley covered all of my questions.
  • 5/5 from Joanne Cutmore, attended Nov 2021: Stewart was very friendly and helpful, I learned a lot about the machine and how to use it lots of helpful tips, he answered all my questions.

  • 3/5 from Tracey Metcalfe, attended Nov 2021: I came away without having learned the one thing I asked for. The girl was lovely, and showed me a couple of good ideas, but not what I’d asked for or requested on my booking form.
  • 5/5 from Audrey Manuel, attended Oct 2021: Very pleasant hour. I'm sure it will give me more confidence to use my Cricut Joy. Ashley very inspiring.
  • 5/5 from Michelle Vancliff, attended Sep 2021: Can not recommend Dee highly enough. She was so patient and answered all my questions and took the time to demonstrate new techniques. I will definitely be returning…. With more questions!
  • 5/5 from Rohini Shrivastava, attended Sep 2021: I had a one to one lesson on the cricut maker 3 I had just bought. So informative and I particularly wanted to learn the print and cut feature for making stickers. Class was brilliant and all questions answered worth every penny!

  • 4/5 from Denise Bute, attended Sep 2021: The venue was very spacious. I would of preferred the tutor to of had a laptop as some of the things I asked about could not be done on an iPad. I came away from the class with a little bit more knowledge but not as much as I would of liked. The tutor was very polite and in my case I would say patient.
  • 5/5 from Rohini Shrivastava, attended Aug 2021: Stewart was brilliantI learnt so much. He went through problems I was having with my cricut joy. Helped with projects. Took me through design space and spent longer than he had to. Area was great to work in and all materials that we needed was there. Fantastic value for money
  • 5/5 from Zarifa Abdullatiff, attended Aug 2021: The teacher had good teaching skills. She expressed herself in a way that was easy to understand. She had good knowledge of the product.

She showed me little tips ans tricks and explained how to get the most out of the machine. It was lovely morning and I went away with new ideas and some brilliant tips. I must say everyone, especially Dee, made me feel welcome and they couldn’t do enough to help me. It was brilliant customer service from the moment I stepped in the store. Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Margaret Bauer, attended Aug 2021: The teacher was friendly and helpful; sympathetic to my frustrations with my Cricut machine’a shortcomings. She offered me helpful suggestions and gave practical demonstrations. The venue was perfectly adequate.
