In this captivating creative writing class, you will discover Scotland's hidden secrets and myths, from the mischievous kelpies to the shapeshifting selkies, from the monster of Loch Ness to the Blue Men of the Minch. This workshop is a cosy environment with many other excited and ambitious writers, providing ample time to discuss different topics and learn together!
You'll then move on to creative exercises where you will use your newfound knowledge to write an exciting short story or poem. If you're feeling nervous about your writing skills, don't worry! This activity is a safe space for beginners to explore and experiment with words. You'll receive gentle guidance and constructive feedback to help you grow as a writer.
During the workshop, you will learn how to work with pen and paper, letting your thoughts flow freely onto the page. The experience may evoke a sense of liberation and excitement as you watch your ideas come to life through your writing. By the end of the class, you'll be amazed at how far your creativity can take you. You'll take home your finished story as a reminder of the wonderful creative progress you've made.
