There were quite a few examples to look at, then we did 2 pours onto canvas using different techniques. I was given a Hobbycraft pouring kit and got to take the rest home. The teacher was really enthusiastic and I really enjoyed it
  • 5/5 from Rebecca, attended Jun 2024: I will admit to being slightly nervous about attending the class as it's a long time since I've done any art but the minute I met Emma, she put me at ease with her friendly manner and welcoming smile. The room was large and airy with plenty of space to work in, great if you're a little clumsy like me, and everything that I needed was ready and waiting. Before I knew it, under Emma's careful guidance, I was pouring paint and creating art! I had a wonderful time and the lesson simply flew by. I would not hesitate to recommend Emma and her class to anyone, young or old, those interested in art or those simply looking to spend a relaxing afternoon learning new skills.
  • 5/5 from Lynne, attended Jun 2024: Really enjoyed the paint pouring class this morning. Teacher was so good at showing the technique and explaining everything in detail. Learnt so much of how much paint to use and two different methods, which gave two different results. Good value and can’t wait to put the skills I learnt today in practice at home. Would love to do a follow up class to try more of the various techniques and continue learning this art.
  • 5/5 from Anne Shaw, attended May 2024: I had a great Acrylic pouring workshop and luckily nobody else came so I had a 1:1 tutoring. The tutor was brilliant and explained everything and worked through the acrylic pouring. I ended up creating an amazing picture. It was supposed to be an hour but ended up 2 hours which I was happy about. I had a few goodies to take home. Highly recommended

Emma was extremely welcoming and put me at ease very quickly, explaining what we would be trying out and explaining the beautifully equipped materials box. I was amazed at the amount of supplies provided both within the course box and extras on the table. The workshop was exceptional value and I have already decided to do another workshop to possibly cover additional tips. Many Thanks Emma, I am looking forward to trying my new skills outJan

Emma who ran the workshop was brilliant, she was friendly, patient, really clear with the explanations and had a great knowledge of acrylic pouring techniques. The workshop was really good value for money, especially as my daughter got to keep the leftover kit. She's really looking forward to trying the techniques at home and is already looking for the next workshop!

  • 5/5 from Joyce, attended Dec 2023: Highly recommended. Excellent class, tutor friendly and knowledgeable, able to both talk and demonstrate at just the right pace with enough information to enable me as a complete beginner to produce 2 lovely canvases. In a week I can collect my art pieces which I was really happy with. I am so glad I booked this class, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad I also put old clothes on, an an old apron! I've included a photo of a part-completed piece.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2023: Fabulous class, thoroughly recommend for a novice. Our teacher at the Chester store was lovely, very welcoming, she didn't rush us and went at a good pace. She answered all our questions and had a lot of knowledge and great tips! I was surprised to find that we could take home the remainder of the paint pouring kit that we didn't use up, definitely excellent value for money! The quiet corner of the store meant we were not often disturbed by the general public too. I went with my mum and sister and they both loved it too (although we weren't expecting the paint to take a week to dry).
  • 5/5 from Katrin Niland, attended Nov 2023: Our teacher was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about arts and crafts…. The course was loads of fun and all the canvases looked unique and amazing! Would definitely recommend!

  • 5/5 from Amanda Cooil, attended Jul 2023: Absolutely brilliant! Loved this workshop. Great materials to use, was given really good tips and ideas, workshop leader was lovely - delighted with what I produced and I'm looking forward to having a go on my own.
  • 5/5 from Brenda Singfield, attended Jul 2023: Morgn who was running the workshop was very friendly and explained everything very easily. It was a fun afternoon with 2 other participants. I really enjoyed it. Only downsie is that the paint takes significant time to dry so we were asked to come back in a week to collect our masterpieces. However, I travelled 30 miles each way to take part in the workshop so its a significant distance to go to retrieve them. extremely good value for money when the paint set retails at a higher cost than the course was I will definitely do more workshops i in fact I'm signed up for a Glowforge session first week in august
  • 5/5 from Brian Powell, attended Jul 2023: Really enjoyed the workshop, fantastic resources provided and the tutor gave some really good ideas. Thoroughly enjoyable.

  • 5/5 from Sue Cobden, attended Jul 2023: Where do I begin - this course was exceptional. From an excellent Teacher to products that far outweighed the cost of the course, I could not find one fault if I tried! Our friendly teacher Emma was very knowledgeable, explained the process very clearly and answered every question asked of her in detail. Paint pouring is a little messy but that's part of the fun of it and I would highly recommend anyone thinking about it to give it a try. I was very impressed with the overall experience and am hoping to book another course with Emma and also a Cricut course. The machine has been sat in the box for far too long! Well done everyone and as the saying goes - I'll be back!
  • 5/5 from Katie Jones, attended Jul 2023: Absolutely loved the acrylic paint pouring class, would highly recommend and would love to do it again! Emma was fantastic, very knowledgeable and went through everything clearly and step by step. Great value for money. Can't wait to try more!
  • 5/5 from Kyla Shelton, attended Jul 2023: I attended a paint pouring workshop on Saturday 1st July @ Chester Retail Park. Emma the tutor was lovely, very knowledgeable and friendly. The materials we were given were amazing. I was so pleased with them and we got to take the leftovers home. I would highly recommend these workshops. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is the fact that’s it’s set up on the shop floor so maybe should be screened off some how because customers kept coming over to the tutor to ask for materials to be cut and other enquiries
  • 5/5 from Mavis Evans, attended Feb 2023: I really enjoyed it and it’s a new hobby that I’ll definitely continue. The young female teacher was brilliant she was really helpful. I’d definitely recommend this course at Hobbycraft Chester

  • 5/5 from Sean Holgate, attended Dec 2022: What a great experience, on arrival, was greeted by Rob. Then went on to describe the basics and how to prepare the pouring paints. We then proceeded to do a couple of pourings each, accompanied with tips and advice on how to get great results. I came away after producing two lovely pictures, and with the confidence to continue at home. Thanks Rob
  • 5/5 from Ffion Spiller, attended Sep 2022: I had a great time doing this workshop. The instructor Rob was enthusiastic and helpful, and I made 3 canvases using different methods. The course was an hour long and the materials provided were good. Thanks Rob!
  • 5/5 from Wendy Marles, attended Mar 2022: The hour went so quickly - really enjoyed the session. Teacher really good. Venue perfect. Would have liked some yellow paint!
  • 5/5 from Anonymized Customer, attended Dec 2021: The starter set is huge. We all completed two pieces in the class and this took up all the time but good to be able to take away all our remaining set for more pouring at home. Plenty of space at the class and even Christmas music in the background. Great to see some art that our tutor Rob had prepared already. Collection of art was advised a few days later to allow for drying. Art felt a bit oily so I sealed with product not included in kit once home. Great intro experience and now keen to do some more!
