Join this beginner-friendly pottery class in Glasgow and discover the soothing, hands-on joy of wheel throwing at House Pottery Glasgow. You'll shape your own unique pieces on the wheel, which will then be professionally fired and glazed so they're ready to use and enjoy.
You'll start with a simple project, such as a mug, as your teacher shows you how to centre your clay and shape quality pots from scratch. It's a relaxed, low-pressure introduction to the wheel, made for first-timers who fancy getting their hands a little muddy.
Everything you need is provided, including prepared clay, tools and aprons – just wear something you don't mind getting a bit messy. You can also choose to have your pieces finished in a beautiful Royal Blue stoneware glaze for £6 per item, and once professionally fired, they'll be food-safe, microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe.
Bring your own drinks and make it a feel-good evening out in Glasgow, whether you're coming solo or with friends. You'll leave with fresh skills, a little clay under your nails and the promise of a handmade piece that's all your own, ready to pour your morning coffee into.
Please note: this class is opening in November 2026.
