Arrive at the Venue
When you arrive at the venue, I'll be there to greet you and show you where you will be sitting. You can then store your coats and bags to the side, in a secure place. If you have any challenges finding the venue, give me a text on my mobile (my number will be on the booking confirmation).
Grab a Drink (if You'd Like One)
I'll show you where the on-site bar is, so you can grab a tipple or soft drink before the class kicks off. If you arrive slightly late, don't worry. There will be plenty of time to get up and head to the bar throughout the workshop.
Make a Pinch Pot
I will then guide you step-by-step as we make a pinch pot. This is a pot that you will shape, smooth, and decorate. Later, once dried, it can be used to store your trinkets, rings, or car keys. It's also a great way to get familiar with the clay, using tools and techniques that will help you in the freestyle section.
Freestyle
Now, taking ideas from the provided sheets (or your imagination) we will work together to create 1 or 2 more sculptures. Once you have decided what you would like to spend the second half of the class making, I will provide 1-1 guidance, so you can get started and create the finished piece you're dreaming of.
Taking Your Creations Home
Once you're finished, you'll be given a bag to take your creations safely home in. You can expect to leave with 2-3 unique sculptures. When you get home, your creations will air dry in 3-5 days. Then you can paint them, or place them on display just as they are!
