Ever wanted to learn the art of kokedama?

Join me for a hands-on workshop where you will make and take home your very own kokedama! There will be a range of plants available to choose from on the day*. I will be on hand to guide you through the entire process - from selecting the right plant for you, through to the final wrap and finishing off of your new kokedama.

This class is suitable for beginners and is a great activity to do with a friend or loved one!

At the Manchester venue you will be provided with a drinks voucher, while the workshop in Macclesfield includes a hot drink and slice of homemade cake. You will also receive a terracotta base for your kokedama and a take-home box for your new creation.

An apron will be provided, but be aware that this can be a messy process. We advise against wearing your Sunday best!

Plant variety will be determined by what is available at my wholesaler, so there is no guarantee that a specific plant will be available on the day.

What you'll get
Attendees will take home their very own handmade kokedama and a terracotta base for it to sit on, along with all the care instructions they should need and a box for safe travel home.

My name is Polly and I first came across kokedama 6 years ago whilst travelling in Malaysia - this was the place I learnt the basics of this art form, and I have continued to develop my skills ever since!

Kokedama is a Japanese planting technique that involves binding a plants roots in soil and moss - my kokedama are unique in that they are then wrapped in an additional layer of coconut fibre, giving them a beautiful natural look!

I have now been making kokedama in North West England for four years, and have recently started hosting private and group workshops. I am finding that sharing my skills and experience with others is proving to be extremely rewarding and heart-warming - I hope to see you at a workshop soon!
