With all materials provided and no prior experience needed, you’ll be guided step by step through the fundamentals of this accessible and creative art form.With over 10 years of experience, Steph will help you build confidence, develop your skills, and start creating lettering that feels uniquely yours.Brush lettering is a modern, accessible approach to calligraphy. Instead of traditional nibs and ink, you’ll use brush pens – making it ideal for first-timers and anyone who wants to jump straight in without the mess or complexity. There's no need for ink pots or pressure – just pick up your pen and start creating.Steph creates a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable learning at their own pace. With friendly, one-to-one support available whenever you need it, you’ll be guided through the process.You’ll leave with new skills and something you’re proud of – and pleasantly surprised by what you’re capable of.Please note:
- For public sessions, the venue may change based on their availability, but it will be in a central and easily accessible location.

Founded by Steph — a calligrapher with a love for slowing down and finding calm through creativity.From a young age, Steph was drawn to handwriting, taking real pride in detail, neatness and the way words looked on the page. But, around ten years ago, that interest deepened with the discovery of brush pens. By working through a range of calligraphy books, experimenting with techniques and practising consistently, Steph developed her own modern lettering style.What began as a personal creative outlet soon became something more meaningful. Calligraphy grew into not just a skill, but a grounding and mindful process — and eventually, a business.Steph has recently moved into hosting workshops, as they allow her to share her joy and passion for calkigraphy with others. Steph says, "There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing people arrive with little or no experience, and leave with something they’re genuinely proud of — or pleasantly surprised by. Sometimes that surprise is the lettering itself; other times, it’s realising they were able to slow down, be patient, and enjoy the process."At Calli by Steph, everything is created with intention.
