Halloween Folk Art Pumpkin Workshop

Get creative and enjoy a little Halloween pumpkin-painting fun!

3 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests       £45 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Come and join me this Halloween for a fun and relaxing afternoon of creativity, where you’ll paint your very own wooden hanging pumpkin decoration—a charming little Halloween decoration to take home and enjoy year after year!
This workshop is a perfect introduction to folk art painting, whether you’re completely new to painting or simply looking to enjoy a peaceful three hours getting creative. No previous painting experience is necessary. All you need to bring is yourself and your enthusiasm. I will provide the pumpkins, paints, and plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits.
We’ll begin by exploring and practising some of the basic folk art painting strokes on paper before I guide you step-by-step in transferring these techniques onto your own wooden pumpkin.
By the end of the afternoon, you’ll have created a unique Halloween decoration to hang in your home—and hopefully discovered a new creative skill along the way.
Come along, slow down, get creative, and enjoy a little Halloween painting fun.

The Crafty Boater
The Crafty Boater

female Women-owned

I have always enjoyed art and craft of some kind, but I have always been particularly interested in folk art painting. In 2017, my husband and I bought a Dutch barge and motored it all the way from the Netherlands to our hometown at the top of the Thames. We already owned a narrowboat, and I fell in love with canal art and folk art from around the world.
When I learned that I was going to be made redundant from my university teaching job, I decided to set up a craft business. I knew that folk art painting and dot mandala painting were what I wanted to teach, so The Crafty Boater was born. I now teach and run local craft markets.
