I have always enjoyed art and craft of some kind, but I have always been particularly interested in folk art painting. In 2017, my husband and I bought a Dutch barge and motored it all the way from the Netherlands to our hometown at the top of the Thames. We already owned a narrowboat, and I fell in love with canal art and folk art from around the world.When I learned that I was going to be made redundant from my university teaching job, I decided to set up a craft business.
