What you'll do

Join Caroline Coates for this Introduction to Crochet workshop at Humbug Art in Eccles, Manchester – a perfect activity if you want to learn this relaxing craft from the very beginning.

This beginner-friendly session is designed to gently guide you. Caroline will show you step-by-step how to handle the hook and yarn correctly. You'll start this creative activity by learning some basic stitches and techniques while creating a cute little flower. Then, putting your new skills into practice, you’ll learn how to make a classic granny square – a versatile building block often used for cosy blankets or cushions.

This workshop is ideal if you're completely new to crochet or perhaps just need a helpful reminder of the fundamental techniques.

It's a wonderfully confidence-boosting feeling to master those first crochet stitches and create something lovely with your own hands. You'll leave the workshop with your completed flower and granny square, plus the foundational skills needed to continue exploring crochet further.

The venue, Humbug Art (located at The Yard, 1A Chadwick Rd, just off Chadwick Street and a short walk from the town centre/Metrolink), has its own small car park with additional street parking available nearby. Refreshments are also included during the workshop
