I am a freelance Based in West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire. The motive and ethos behind Botanical Moonlight is centered around wellbeing, plant design, moss art and element design.
All my work is centered around a positive mindset and how something can change the emotions we feel in that present time. Lifting our mood and providing a sense of mindfulness. Moss art is a powerful way to bring wellbeing and peace.
Creating botanical gardens and preserved moss art began as a quiet passion for me, rooted in a love for nature and a desire to bring it closer to everyday life. It all started with a small glass container, a few plants, and a curiosity about creating self-sustaining ecosystems. I found myself mesmerized by how a few carefully chosen elements could come together to form a miniature world.
Preserved moss art and element design became the next step, a way to capture the beauty of nature in its prime and make it last. I started experimenting with different preservation techniques, learning how to maintain the vibrancy and texture of natural elements. This exploration led me to botanical gardens, where I could take the creativity of terrariums to a larger scale, creating immersive, lush spaces that brought my vision of nature to life.
What began as a simple hobby soon became a way of expressing myself while connecting with others who shared my appreciation for the artistry of nature.
Botanical Moonlight has worked with many creative spaces, creative services, Artisan events and well-being workshops. Over the past 5 years I've been integrating multiple strands to make Botanical Moonlight more adaptable for a wide range of creative interests. I have worked with florists, coffee and plant specialists, art charities and handmade gift shops.
I currently work with homeless charities, housing charities supporting individuals to reduce the risk of social exclusion, including mental health, substance misuse, offending, domestic abuse, trauma/abuse.
I am also part of a team at Moss & Moon Well-being based in Ossett Moss & Moon is more than a wellbeing centre — it’s a community, a collective, and a calling. It’s a space for those who believe that healing is both an act of service and an act of love.
I specialize in botanical custom-made terrariums and preserved moss art blend nature, design, and storytelling into living and everlasting creations. Using a thoughtful mix of upcycled, vintage, and contemporary vessels, these pieces celebrate sustainability while honoring both old-world charm and modern style. Through floral composition, preserved moss techniques, and botanical design principles, each work becomes a unique expression of texture, colour, and form—bringing the beauty of nature indoors in a way that is both artful and enduring.
My work is rooted in a deep respect for nature, storytelling, and the quiet beauty of transformation. Through custom-made botanical terrariums and preserved moss art, I explore the relationship between living forms, memory, and material culture. Each piece is an invitation to slow down and reconnect—with nature, with craftsmanship, and with the overlooked beauty found in everyday objects.
I work with a blend of upcycled, vintage, and contemporary vessels, allowing the history of each container to inform the design within it. Preserved moss, botanical elements, and floral compositions are carefully layered to create organic landscapes that feel both timeless and intimate. By using preserved materials, I am able to capture a moment of nature in stasis—everlasting yet full of life.
Sustainability is central to my practice. I am drawn to reuse, repurpose, and reimagine materials, giving them new purpose while honoring their past. My work sits at the intersection of art and ecology, where design becomes a quiet act of conservation and care.
Ultimately, my creations are about connection—between the natural and the handmade, the past and the present, the fragile and the enduring. Each piece is made with intention, curiosity, and a belief that nature, when thoughtfully framed, has the power to ground us and tell stories without words.
