"Hi, I’m Ben. I’ve spent over a decade balancing creativity, teaching, and change. My journey started in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of military media operations, where I learned to tell powerful stories during critical moments, like the Afghanistan evacuation and working as the official photographer at No 10 Downing Street.Photography came into my life as a natural fit—I’ve always been drawn to observing and capturing moments rather than creating them from scratch. Over the years, I’ve won awards, been nominated for a BAFTA, and reached levels I never imagined possible as a photographer. But my approach has always been grounded, showing up, capturing what’s in front of me, and letting the work speak for itself.I’m passionate about teaching, dedicating two years instructing at the prestigious Defence School of Photography. I believe everyone can succeed with the right mix of clear guidance and support—two things I’ve relied on throughout my own career.
