  • 5/5 from Lydia Easten, attended May 2026: Such a fun class! Alex was really helpful and explained everything really well, thanks so much ️
  • 5/5 from Beth, attended May 2026: We loved the rug tufting! I did two coasters and my friend did a mini rug. The teaching was excellent and the instructions were super clear. Advice via WhatsApp beforehand about our designs was really helpful. I definitely recommend simpler designs for the coasters and sending them in advance so you can amend them. Really fun and we'd definitely go again!
  • 5/5 from Tom Shrimpton, attended Apr 2026: A fun class, which had lots of different elements and ended with some great coasters. Instruction was clear and available but the class also had a relaxed feel where you could just get on with what you were doing. Was not sure what to expect, but the mixture of different tasks and gadgets to do the task made it all quite exciting.
  • 5/5 from Norika, attended Mar 2026: It was my first rug-making workshop, but the teacher explained everything very carefully and it was a really fun experience! The class was smaller than I expected, which made it easy to ask questions whenever I didn’t understand something. I’m very satisfied with how my rug turned out. I would definitely recommend this workshop to my friends. Thank you very much!
  • 5/5 from Beckett O'Bryer, attended Jan 2026: I had a lovely time at the rug tufting class! Alex was friendly and explained everything really clearly. I didn’t feel at all rushed while getting to grips with tufting, and had so much fun. The set up was great, and I came away with a really cute little rug. I will definitely be back and would recommend the class to anyone.
  • 5/5 from Caitlin Lehan, attended Nov 2025: I was gifted the class for my birthday and had an amazing time! Voucher was super easy to redeem. Really fun class and our teacher was amazing. Made 2 rug coasters which turned out really good especially since it was my first time rug tufting. Will be coming back!!

His guidance and instructions were really clear and he was very supportive and helpful throughout. Tuffting itself is really good fun, engaging and therapeutic, so I would highly reccomend it!

  • 5/5 from Sophie Hay, attended Mar 2025: My friend and I had a great time making our tufted coasters. Alex was really knowledgeable about all things tufting and suggested the best way for us to tackle our chosen design. It was such a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning, and for someone as non-creative as me, it is great to be able to show off something I made myself.
  • 5/5 from Helena Walker, attended Mar 2025: Lovely class, a great experience and something different! A great idea to make coasters rather than a rug. Alex was a thorough teacher and explained very well, just in need of a little bigger studio space.
  • 3/5 from Ayshea Greenwood, attended Mar 2025: We loved doing the rug coaster tufting but I was a little disappointed with the venue which was a bit run down. First impressions of the teacher was that he wasn't very enthusiastic which was a little off putting. However he explained everything well and we were really pleased with the end result.

  • 4/5 from Kate Fischer, attended Sep 2024: My friend and I decided to try tuffting! It was a much different experience than I had anticipated, there is more technical skill required (which I liked). The teacher, Alex was really helpful and very clear about exactly what steps we were taking bit by bit, he was very attentive and easy to understand. All of the materials needed were provided in the course. I couldn't believe how many crafting materials were required, so definitly get your money's worth out of the course an experience Not to mention a great piece to take home!
  • 5/5 from Bethany, attended Aug 2024: My friend and I attended the eug coasters class and thoroughly enjoyed it. We’d love to come back and do a bigger piece!

We’re a Wakefield-based studio offering rug tufting workshops and commissions. Coming from a background completely unrelated to crafts, we discovered our passion for tufting and established Huffletuft in 2022. Rug tufting is a fun and incredibly rewarding craft, and we wanted to provide a space where anyone could come to experience it. Many of our customers have told us they find it to be very therapeutic and a great stress reliever – and the best part is, you get to take home your own handmade rug at the end!
We love teaching others and seeing all the beautiful rugs you create in our studio. Tufting is a highly versatile art, and you can make a wide variety of items at our workshop, from small accessories to large decorative pieces.
Please note that for group bookings, you can book different items for the same session – just go to the different item pages and choose the same start time, then book the items separately.
Anyway, that’s enough about us – come and book your workshop now!
