  • 5/5 from Laura Bright, attended Apr 2026: Lovely teacher, very knowledgeable and very patient with us
  • 5/5 from Maggie Parry, attended Mar 2026: Store manager Jackie was a lovely lady who was very patient and knowledgeable when teaching me how to crochet this afternoon. Thank you Jackie.
  • 3/5 from Marion Isherwood, attended Feb 2026: I did leave the class better able to crochet than when I started, but I had previously tried following you tube videos. We didn't have the usual teacher and I was in a group with three other left handed ladies, which meant they took up quite a lot of the teachers time and I was left to just try by myself most of the time. The wool provided kept splitting and made it very difficult. Disappointing.
  • 1/5 from Jacqueline Claire Mills, attended Feb 2026: Total waste of time. Filled in form to say I was left handed, but teacher couldn’t do this and had to learn right handed. Way too difficult, like being made to write with wrong hand, not dexterous enough. Will do another course with another provider. Really cross.
  • 5/5 from Ann Griffiths, attended Jan 2026: Just had a wonderful afternoon workshop in Telford branch with Beth. She was so patient teaching me how to crochet, something I have tired and failed many times before but she made it understandable and enjoyable for the first time. I will definitely try other workshops as this wassuper fun. Thank you Beth x
  • 5/5 from Margaret Forster, attended Dec 2025: Absolutely love afternoon, teacher was really informative and I have learned a few things from her I wouldn’t have known. Very patient and informative.
  • 5/5 from Soeli Brassington, attended Dec 2025: Beth was fabulous, really helped me to pick up the basics. X
  • 5/5 from Adam Forster, attended Dec 2025: I had a great a time. The teacher was very friendly and instructive. I went from knowing nothing to being able to crochet in a few minutes
  • 5/5 from Laura Meakin, attended Nov 2025: I really enjoyed this class. It was really good to see how crocheting is done in person as I’ve found some books really hard to follow. I was making quite a few mistakes but the teacher showed me where I’d gone wrong and explained how I’d gone wrong and how to correct it which I found extremely useful. With lots of practice I think I will really enjoy crocheting and can’t wait to see what I make
  • 5/5 from Mary-Anne Punnett, attended Oct 2025: The instructor was lovely and very encouraging. I feel confident to continue this at home.
  • 5/5 from Vivienne Martin, attended Sep 2025: From not knowing how to make a chain to being able to do double and treble crochet was amazing, I didn’t think I would be able to do that even though it ended up a bit rough. The teacher was brilliant and very patient with us all. Thank you.

  • 5/5 from Sandra Sutton, attended Aug 2025: I’ve been trying to teach myself to crochet via the internet but couldn’t master it. This class made all the difference, a lovely patient teacher with time for us all (OAP me and 4 gorgeous children). I left having mastered 3 different stitches, and I could see the girls did brilliantly too. Highly recommended!

  • 5/5 from Ruth Cuhls, attended Jun 2025: Beth was enthusiastic and helpful and I left the class feeling confident to pick up crochet again after a long gap. We covered slip knots, chains, double crochet, treble crochet and she explained the labels on wool which was new to me and very useful information. A lovely session thanks.
  • 5/5 from Colette Millin, attended Mar 2025: I've tried so many times to learn to crochet but I just couldn't get the hang of it and failed every time. I went to Beth's class today and she was AMAZING and I grasped it! Beth was so clear and helpful with her instructions, and she was so patient and kind. I'd recommend this class to anyone who has struggled to learn before. Thanks so much Beth
  • 5/5 from Claire Farr, attended Feb 2025: I really enjoyed this workshop, the time flew by so quickly! The teacher was very helpful and knowledgeable. She was hands on with helping and explained things perfectly. I was very pleased with the equipment and the amount of yarn I was given. • 5/5 from Sam Middleton, attended Jan 2025: Beth was so knowledgeable and helpful. She had a lot of patience and gave everyone in the group her time. I got so much out of the session, having had no idea how to crochet before.
  • 5/5 from Adele Conlon, attended Jan 2025: 50b450 challenge... Learn a new skill... Beth was very welcoming and fabulous at modelling skills and helping with the crochet. She was very enigmatic and encouraging. Lovely group of 3 of us, set up on a table, at the back of the shop. Can crochet, slowly but surely. And Beth has given us further advice and lots of support to keep going.

  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Sep 2024: I had really fun time it was enjoyable and in a relaxed setting. It was a great way to learn in person rather than through videos online or a book which can be tricky
  • 5/5 from Siobhan Maclurg, attended Sep 2024: Beth was absolutely wonderful. She talked us through what we would be doing and was very hands on with demonstrating how to crochet. As part of the class we were provided with a bag kit that contained everything we needed for the lesson: full colour instruction booklet with pictures, a crochet hook and 2 large bundles of wool of different colours. All of which we get to keep at the end of the lesson. We didn't really use the instruction book as Beth showed us everything and helped us individually as needed, but it was a great reference to work along side and very useful to continue crocheting at home. We learned both Double Crochet and Treble Crochet stitches and Beth had some ready made examples to show us so we could see what it should look like. A lovely casual class, where everyone was friendly and chatted nicely as we learned.
  • 5/5 from Judith Sammons, attended Sep 2024: Beth was a great teacher and I came away being able to finally crochet after many previous attempts at home! She explained clearly, and being a small group of 5 was able to give us all individual attention. Excellent value and nicely tucked away in a corner of the shop. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon! Thankyou!
  • 5/5 from Sarah, attended Apr 2024: Teacher very friendly and patient with us. Great attention as only 2 of us. Supplies good quality, course informative & good value at the discounted price, thank you

  • 5/5 from Paula Rose, attended Dec 2023: Very positive and helpful workshop leader. Good resources. Venue okay. Resources good, the wool was easy to learn with.
  • 5/5 from Judith C J Jones, attended Dec 2023: Beth was very patient and friendly and explained every aspect very clearly. I had trouble with getting the tension correct, so she provided me with a larger hook. Even though my crochet piece didn't look like it should have done, I can see possiblities for it, and once the Christmas rush is through, I will be sending photos of what I have done with it, and also (hopefully) a finished piece that DOES look like it should! Thank you Beth and Merry Christmas.
  • 5/5 from Jane Pearson, attended Dec 2023: Beth was amazing! Very patient and so helpful. I really enjoyed this workshop. The materials were all provided and were great quality too.

It was a very good session and I would recommend it to anyone

  • 5/5 from Helen Fox, attended Nov 2023: Caitlin, our teacher, was very good. She supported people of differing abilities according to their individual needs. She was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. The venue was fine but the yarn provided was not good quality which made it harder for beginners.
  • 5/5 from Sandra Ward, attended Oct 2023: I attended the crochet class as a complete beginner - there were only 3 of us in the group which mean we could have plenty of support. The class leader was friendly and put us at ease. Each step of the process very clearly demonstrated and we had a booklet of instructions too. The hour and a half passed very quickly and by the end of the session we had each managed to produce a small piece of double crochet and treble crochet. We were given a Hobbeycraft tote bag containing two balls of chunky wool, two crochet hooks and a booklet of instructions to take away. Good value for money and a fun way to to begin a new hobby.
  • 5/5 from Shirley Davies, attended Oct 2023: Teacher was very good and extremely patient with us. Nice small group so got lots of hands on experience.
  • 4/5 from Stephanie Rowland, attended Oct 2023: Very warm friendly girl, was enthusiastic about crochet and tried to give as much help as the time allowed.
  • 5/5 from Vicky, attended Sep 2023: This was Caitlin's first class she had taught and was brilliant. We were all complete beginners and she was very patient with us. By then end of the class I had 2 good sets of different stitches. I practiced when I got home and managed a full granny square which looks really neat for a 1st full try! We were each given a bag with 2 balls of wool and a crochet hook so we could continue at home. The workspace was tucked away at the back so we had very little distractions and was a small group of 4 so had a lot of attention each. I really enjoyed the class and would recommend to anyone wanting to learn.
  • 5/5 from Emma Jennings, attended Sep 2023: Great class- Caitlin was very kind and patient with us. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much!
  • 4/5 from Annmichelle Chan, attended Sep 2023: Teacher was good, a little nervous to start but really knew her craft. Catrina was very patience and shared lots of ideas. All beginners on the course which made it helpful. Would be helpful to have a few more instructions (rather than just the ones we had learnt) to take away to increase our knowledge. Perhaps a simple pattern book etc. I would recommend this course and also feel I can return to the store to ask for help and advice
  • 5/5 from Kay Roberts, attended Nov 2022: I throughly enjoyed the class. The teacher was very patience and kept up with the various levels of novice in the group. The kit provide was good.
