Throughout the year, Hobbycraft host a variety of workshops in stores and online, designed to give everyone the opportunity to master a new craft or refine a long-time favourite. Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.
Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

I really enjoyed the workshop with Hannah. She showed me how to set up and use various feet on my sewing machine. I was particularly interested in the button hole and walking foot. Very easy to understand and she let me use the machine to have a practice. Helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks

Great afternoon session with Sarah, kids absolutely loved making the monsters with the air drying clay. They were able to follow Sarah's suggestions or come up with their own creations - highly recommend

We made disco balls to hang on a Christmas tree with my 3 children from 2 years old , the teacher was very nice and we really enjoyed the half hour I can't wait to book again !

The learn to crochet course was really interesting with a very patient teacher. The materials given were of a really good quality and the instruction book was very clear. Our teacher spent time with anybody who was struggling and we all managed to come away with a piece of crochet. I would recommend this course

I attended the crochet class as a complete beginner - there were only 3 of us in the group which mean we could have plenty of support. The class leader was friendly and put us at ease. Each step of the process very clearly demonstrated and we had a booklet of instructions too. The hour and a half passed very quickly and by the end of the session we had each managed to produce a small piece of double crochet and treble crochet. We were given a Hobbeycraft tote bag containing two balls of chunky wool, two crochet hooks and a booklet of instructions to take away. Good value for money and a fun way to to begin a new hobby.

This was Caitlin's first class she had taught and was brilliant. We were all complete beginners and she was very patient with us. By then end of the class I had 2 good sets of different stitches. I practiced when I got home and managed a full granny square which looks really neat for a 1st full try! We were each given a bag with 2 balls of wool and a crochet hook so we could continue at home. The workspace was tucked away at the back so we had very little distractions and was a small group of 4 so had a lot of attention each. I really enjoyed the class and would recommend to anyone wanting to learn.

Great experience. Our teacher was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on how to do the activity.
Venue was good, lots of space and all the equipment was provided in a nicely presented box.
Would definitely do this again and recommend.

Amber was a lovely teacher, she was warm and welcoming. Everything was ready to go and she had some great ideas on making cards. I was surprised that the activity was to make 5 cards as I was just expecting to make 1, so this was a really nice surprise. Amber was happy for us to use as much material needed and was very encouraging. She was very friendly, myself and my my 3yr old had a great time. The hour went by so fast but this was just the right amount of time for the card making, we never felt rushed at any point. Very glad we did it and would do it again.

our 2 grandchildren both enjoyed the Santa tree topper making session . The teacher was very friendly and our grandchildren listened to her when explaining what to do.
She explained what all of the making materials , of which there were plenty were for .
Both santas are now sitting proudly on their Christmas
trees . Would definitely recommend a class and we’ll be bringing our grandchildren again ….Thankyou hobbycraft :-)

Ben our teacher was great. He encouraged the kids to be creative and make what they wanted to using the two packs of clay provided. The clay packs were really generous meaning that the kids managed to make a couple characters out of it which they had so much fun doing.
In Telford the workshop was upstairs at the back of the store so it was really peaceful with just the odd shopper passing by so the kids were able to relax and be creative without the sights and sounds of the busy store around them. We would definitely do this again.

Lovely session today for my grandchildren/ great nephew & niece. I booked them in for the 1 hour painting a canvas session. The canvases were pre printed & they had a choice of 4, great for the 4- 9 age range. We had a lovely lady supervising who set up the paints & equipment & generally gave us great guidance on some purchases we wanted to make. At £5 per child it was great value & we would happily recommend.

Brilliant class my grandson loved it. Teacher was relaxed, helpful and let the children work at their own pace & incorporate their own ideas too. Materials were super - we bought some of the clay to make models at home in the holidays. Good value for money and plenty of resources to make several monster models each. Great fun and educational for the little ones - using fine motor skills and exploring textures and colour mixing/shapes. Well worth £5.

Chelsea is an amazing teacher! She taught me so much. I really enjoyed our session and can’t believe I made this (pic) I am hoping Hobbycraft start a ‘next steps’ knitting workshop soon.

Sarah was excellent. We learned everything from using a glue gun to trying a bow! It wasn’t rushed, we had plenty of time to finish the wreath. Really enjoyable event, highly recommend.

Unfortunately we didn't get any real guidance so I didn't feel this was really a workshop. The table wasn't even ready when we arrived and there wasn't enough plugs for 6 glue guns! This was eventually sorted 20 minutes in when an extension lead appeared Although the girl running it was lovely, there was no instruction and we were just left to muddle through and get on with this ourselves. I think I could have made a better job of leading it myself Although happy with the outcome, I'm disappointed in the quality of what should have been a led activity. There wasn't even a pair of scissors on the table to start opening our craft kits! Organisation was generally very poor. A shame as the quality of products is pretty good.
