  • 4/5 from Kay Cooper, attended Apr 2026: Course was fantastic, Brad was very helpful and a patient teacher. Just a shame it was rescheduled twice and the course was held on the shop floor, so customers were constantly interrupting and approaching Brad for help, where he had to help them or get staff to help.

  • 5/5 from Shelley Higgins, attended Oct 2025: A brilliant class at Bath Hobbycraft. Our teacher was patient and was happy to go over things as many times as we all wanted to ensure we all had the best experience. Nothing was too much trouble. By the end of the session all of us were able to crochet and went away determined to practice.

  • 4/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2024: Chloe was lovely. very patient. The location of the table under air conditioning meant it was cold. Materials were suitable for the class. I was able to complete 3/4 crochet stitches competently by the end. I considered the class to be value for money with the 20% reduction.
  • 5/5 from Sue Lovell, attended Sep 2024: Great teacher but I think I will need a few more lessons! 90 minutes was just enough to give you a taster
  • 5/5 from Fay James, attended Sep 2024: Ellie was a great and enthusiastic teacher who explained the intricate details of crochet well and went at the pace of those attending. The materials provided were good and helped the learning process. I am looking forward to my next session.
  • 5/5 from Amanda Sullivan, attended May 2024: Attended the beginner crochet class and Ellie was a great teacher! As a total novice I was concerned that I wouldn't learn much in 90 minutes but I was wrong! Came away with a good foundation to work on and loved that you get all the kit to use and take away with you. Would highly recommend:)
  • 5/5 from Cindy Gapper, attended May 2024: Great value for money, Ellie was a fab and patient teacher, would definitely do other classes 10 out of 10
  • 5/5 from Jane, attended Mar 2024: Ellie was a patient teacher. She explained things well and is obviously passionate about crochet. We covered most of the basics in 90 minutes. It is a good foundation to build on. Everything you need for the course is included.
  • 5/5 from Jodie, attended Mar 2024: I bought a crochet lesson for my mum for Christmas and we went along today to the Bath store. Ellie our teacher was so lovely and welcoming. She was very patient as I was brand new to crochet. I felt we learnt at a good pace and I actually was able to do it. The little bag of equipment was nice and I liked the wool.
  • 5/5 from Jillian Peel, attended Mar 2024: Good value Our Teacher Ellie was excellent adapted to different needs of group We had 3 in our group and I would say this should be maximum as any more we would have struggled to achieve very much in 1 hour and and 30 mins
  • 5/5 from Karen Marquiss, attended Mar 2024: Ellie was an excellent teacher and prepared the materials with care and thought to aid our learning. I enjoyed the course a great deal and thought it was worth the money. However felt that if it was on a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 basis we would have covered all the stitch types instead of just the one. I feel as a knitter, crocheting is much harder and we potentially needed the course to be 2 hours. I
  • 5/5 from Kathleen, attended Dec 2023: Ellie was patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a lot in the lesson. As it was a one to one session (which I was not expecting) it was excellent value for money. The items provided were useful.
  • 5/5 from Noyemie Oundjian, attended Nov 2023: Emily was very patient and friendly. She made me feel at ease and showed me the basics which is all I just needed. The class ended up being a one to one which was really great too. I did not expect to be able to take materials home, lots of yarn colours to chose from and a crochet needle to get me started.
  • 5/5 from Miss Ali Cohen, attended Oct 2023: I had a great time at the workshop. Ellie was lovely and a great tutor. Made me feel at ease so felt I was able to ask for help constantly! She had the patience of a saint! Explained things clearly and didnt mind repeating herself! The time flew by but I felt I learnt enough to get me going with having a go at crochet on my own. The tote bag with accessories was great. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Jo Sims, attended Aug 2023: Ellie was very patient and great at explaining different ways to do things. The materials provided were great., and Ellie was very knowledgeable in the field of crocheting, recommending beginners books and the Hobbycraft website to help us at home. I wish you could be in a separate room or at least a corner of the shop rather than in the middle as everyone walks by and watches. At one point Ellie had to go off and sort a problem at the till out as she was the only member of staff. This seemed like bad planning as we had paid for The time with Ellie. She was very apologetic and wasn’t gone for long, I could get on but my friend was finding crochet very tricky so just had to sit and wait.
  • 5/5 from Madison Bird, attended Jul 2023: Great teacher, very patient! Didn't feel rushed in terms of content. Good materials too
  • 4/5 from Yvette Loizeau, attended Jul 2023: Very helpful and patient teacher, good student ratio of 2:1. Materials provided were good quality and provided in handy zip bag
  • 4/5 from Lily, attended Feb 2023: Wonderful friendly tutor - Emily. Easy location. Good value - especially as bought with a Hobbycraft discount. I’m a single mum with no maintenance from ex so appreciate this kind of workshop when under £20. And great that hook and yarn included. Also hugely impressed/grateful that Emily said that we could pop into shop anytime and ask for help with any projects.
  • 3/5 from Tammy Alford, attended Nov 2022: Needs to be longer to learn or be 1:1 to benefit absolute beginners. Emily felt unprepared for the session although she was very friendly and patient. The box of products was lovely although the wool provided was not the easiest for beginners as it split easily.
