Always wanted to learn salsa but not sure where to start? This fun and welcoming group class in Colindale is made specifically for complete beginners. Whether you're coming solo, with friends, or with a partner, you'll learn the foundations of salsa in a relaxed, supportive setting.
You'll be guided through the essential footwork, timing, partner work, and easy-to-follow moves that'll help you feel confident on the dance floor. Partners are rotated throughout the class (optional), which is a great way to meet new people while you improve.
The focus here is on learning while having fun – expect plenty of encouragement, laughter, and a friendly atmosphere where everyone moves at their own pace. By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to dance several beginner salsa combinations and be ready to take your first steps into social dance events.

Knowledge required
This class is designed for complete beginners with no previous salsa experience. We will guide you through everything step by step, making it easy to follow regardless of your age or ability.
What to bring
  • Comfortable clothing you can move freely in.
  • Comfortable shoes with smooth soles (avoid heavy hiking boots or very grippy trainers if possible).
  • A bottle of water.
  • A smile and a willingness to have fun.
No partner is required.

Dance and movement have always been a huge part of my life, and I'm passionate about sharing that love with others. For me, dancing is about so much more than learning steps. It's about having fun, building confidence, meeting new people and creating memories.
My love for Latin music and dancing started at a young age. My mother is from Bolivia, so I grew up surrounded by Latin music, dancing and social gatherings. In my early 20s, I began taking Salsa and Bachata more seriously and quickly fell in love with the welcoming community and the way dance brings people together.
I've been teaching since 2014, helping more than 1, 000 students discover the joy of dancing. I've taught and performed at festivals and events across the UK, including the Blackpool North West Dance Congress and Plymouth Mega Dance All Dayer, and have enjoyed dancing internationally in countries including Spain, Poland and Kazakhstan.
Through 'London Salsa Bachata & Fitness', I teach across London, including NW London, Soho in Central London and other locations throughout the capital, as well as venues outside London.
Alongside my regular Salsa and Bachata classes, I love creating experiences that offer something a little different:
1. Learn to Dance in One Day: Fun, beginner-friendly experiences designed to help people go from having little or no dance experience to feeling confident on the dancefloor in just one day. Perfect for individuals, couples and friends.
2. Couples Date Night Dance & Games Experiences: A playful alternative to a traditional date night, combining music, dancing, interactive games and fun challenges to help couples laugh, connect and create special memories together.
Over the years, I've also organised community events, dance festivals, Salsa boat cruises, dance fun runs and outdoor dancing experiences, and worked with organisations including universities and Age UK.
What I enjoy most is seeing people arrive feeling nervous or convinced they have two left feet, only to leave smiling, laughing and surprised by what they've achieved. I believe anyone can learn to dance with the right encouragement, patience and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
My mission is simple: to make dancing accessible, enjoyable and welcoming to everyone, regardless of age, ability or previous experience.
