Hello! I’m Elena McLaren, and I specialize in the beautiful art of batik.

My creative journey began in Europe, but I truly found my calling in Manchester, where I studied Art and Technology at MANCAT College and later earned a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Manchester. I also continued my artistic education in Italy at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata.

My introduction to batik came during a challenging period while I was caring for my mother. It was then that I discovered this fascinating silk-painting technique, which quickly became my passion. Over the years, I have trained with renowned masters, participated in international exhibitions, received awards, and developed my own artistic style. My work has been exhibited internationally, including on platforms such as Saatchi Art and Artmajeur, and I have been a member of the Eurasian Art Union since 2021.

One of the greatest joys of my work is sharing my knowledge and experience through workshops. I have taught batik to students of all ages and abilities, helping them discover the unique beauty of painting on silk. Whether creating a scarf, a decorative panel, or a framed artwork, I believe everyone has the ability to create something truly special.
